Reason why hatch will probably be never removed.

All you have to do is ask what happens if there's no hatch? Do ppl think the killer will magically know where the last survivor is and teleport there to claim their 4k?


I think what would happen is that:

a) the survivor gives up and just walks to the killer and dies (ruins the moment of victory for killer)

b) the game slows to a crawl as the last survivor stealthes around slowly trying to do gens.

c) survivor just stalls the game by hiding with no intention of escaping.

d) killer quickly finds last survivor. If hatch existed there's a chance that they might happen to find it during chase and escape but even then the benefits are limited since the killer could've just murdered them first anyway.


Removing hatch without replacing it with something interesting and rewarding for both sides would just be boring for everyone.
