This is NOT camping
If you have someone hooked and the last gens are all close to the hook (3 or 4 gen situation), staying on that area is not even softcamping, its called gen control. If I have no reason to leave the hook (lose gens) why I should.
Instead of gen rushing like monkeys without thinking you should take care of which gens you left as last ones, because as Killer they force me to a 3-gen situation all the time.
As a Solo survivor, it triggers me too. Just try to do gens in different areas even if you have to walk 20 more seconds, you don't have to be a meta slave and just rush everything you see.

Who cares if it is? There's no rule against camping.

I had a group accusing me of camping. I was trapper, on ormond, with a fully trapped 3 gen and basement. What exactly do you expect me to do?

If i'm stupid enough not to rotate my gen positions and end up 3 genned, that's on me and you are doing your job by then patrolling those gens rather than skipping off to an area where you KNOW there will be no action.
It's not camping, and while i loathe being camped, i accept that its a legitimate course of action either way.
Sounds like you met some sore losers who don't wish to admit they fudged up.
You do you.

I think the reason many discuss whether someone is camping or not is because many times even if the killer was in fact camping they won’t admit it.
I caught a streamer in a lie today when I called him out because he was telling me he didn’t intentionally camp when in his own words on stream he said “ I will camp the s***t out of them”... meaning the survivor he had in the basement.
I think it’s hilarious that some players treat it like it is a sin or something lol

It's like getting called a tuneller after someone farms their teammate and you down them both, only to get DS'd.

I mean, camp away. If it's in the game, it's for you to use. And since Gens are close by, then bonus. You can guard all of them. Don't let survivors make you feel like you're playing wrong. They want you to play THEIR way, and let's face it. That's usually you standing in a corner until you're given permission to MAYBE come and hit someone once. Of course, if Killers were to ever point out survivors acting like this, we're usually the ones in the wrong.

Similar when survivors complain about 'tunneling' when they didn't wait a fraction of a second before going to unhook someone.
Like, excuse you, but if you unhook your friend the moment my back is turned of course you'll get my weapon to your face. If your friend goes down again, they'll get the hook again. What do you expect me to do.
