Botany Buff
33% for a Perk its is not enough, its would be cool, when Botany has to up to 50% or another skill
Comments
-
50 % would completely negate the downside of Self Care, everybody would run it.
Also, you would heal other People significantly faster.
Botany is an alright Perk, it's not good but not bad either, let's buff the worse Perks first, shall we?
5 -
Self Care should not even exist and you ask for Botany buff...
More second chances lol.
0 -
lmao you must be stuck in 2017 meta
12 -
Makes no sense since Self Care is 2016 but big survivor brain.
0 -
Are you actually crying about Self Care? They nerfed healing in general years ago. And you are complaining about Self Care.
As for the OP. No, Botany is in a really good spot. It makes it where you can get two full heals from a yellow med kit with no addons. And shaves several seconds off your heal. It's probably one of the best balanced perks in the game.
11 -
Yes I do, it's a second chance perk rewarding poor gameplay. They should increase healing time at least.
Killer got NOED for second chance and that's it.
0 -
They should increase healing time at least.
32 seconds to heal yourself, 40 with sloppy butcher applied. That's half of a generator.
I rejoice when I see self-care because it means they're not on generators.
2 -
I think botany is a good perk. It also increases medkit efficiency. I run it alot of the times to negate sloppy and thanatophobia.
0 -
For 32 seconds, yaaay!
And how many seconds does it take to hit a good chasee? He just erases it by M1 for 32 seconds.
0 -
Did you actually call Self Care a second chance perk? You are either trolling or insane. But out of curiosity is there any survivor perk you don't consider a second chance perk? Is Slippery Meat too OP as well? Maybe No Mither could use a nerf. We all know how busted that perk is.
7 -
You get hit, it erases it and heals you.
How is that not second chance? Are you serious? Are you really serious?!
0 -
A second chance perk is a perk that allows survivors to fix instantly a mistake that they made, giving them a second chance in a given situation. The last time I looked, SC just let's them heal themselves over the course of 32 seconds, instead of the standard 16 from being healed by a teammate. It is incomparable to DS, UB, Adrenaline, Deliverence, BT, DH, etc. And it is an extremely weak perk, only made even reasonably okay by SC/Botany combo.
Or, to put it a other way, if you have someone repeatedly running at you to bodyblock for a teammate, just hit them and don't even bother chasing them, because they're going to go waste more than half a minute healing. That's better than PGTW. And that is genuinely the most "second-chance" that SC can get.
3 -
They get hit (mess up), they self care (erase the mistake).
Not second chance? Sure.
0 -
By that logic all healing should be removed from the game. Delete all healing perks and items because those are second chances. It doesn't matter that they take time. Being allowed to heal is clearly unfair.
4 -
Items are well, items, they should give you an advantage but they are one time use unlike SC which is infinite (damn I had to explain this).
Healing by other team mate, nothing wrong with it. Two survivor's time is being wasted, wish it was ~30 seconds though.
0 -
Depending on your killer? Less than 32 seconds.
As Freddy, Pyramid Head, and as I've discovered Bubba they can actually end very very quickly. Even as Wraith.
0 -
That's like asking for bamboozle to give 30% vault speed. It's an unnecessary buff to already good perk, no thank you.
0 -
So 2 survivors wasting 16 seconds each or 32 seconds total is fine. But 1 survivor wasting 32 seconds total is unfair and makes it a second chance. You truly are certifiable.
4 -
Depending on your survivor. You go against the usual potato survivor I saw you play against sure 32 seconds. Even I can hold you up to 60 seconds until you hit me, and I don't even play survivor much.
As a matter of fact I am sure if I go rewatch, it took you more than 32 seconds easily. Either your calculations are wrong or it's your survivor-main brain at it again.
0 -
LOL 30 seconds to heal a teammate. What RIVETING gameplay. Thank god you're not a dev.
0 -
Oh yes, because balanced gameplay is not "riveting".
Proves more and more my point, people like you just want free easy escapes and to cry on any killer who doesn't give them a free win.
If anything it makes it more "riveting" because it gives taking a hit an actual sense of danger, unlike what we see survivors swarming while you hook someone because they know a hit is nothing, especially with the other second chance perks.
0 -
Idk if you are trolling or not. For real. Self care is a perk that literally benefits killers, the survivors who use it heal themselves in the corner of the map for 32 seconds and waste a lot of time when they could do half a gen instead. And then injuring them again is not big rocket science, so they waste even more time. Get it? Also, items are definietly not one time use. Bring a purple medkit with addons and you can heal yourself several times at a higher speed.
2 -
How does survivors heal up favor the killer?! Because 32 seconds? Already went through and I won't repeat again (read before posting, not that hard) on why that is silly point.
0 -
Getting hit isn't messing up, it's the outcome of a chase, and if you are hitting survivors and letting them Self Care then I want your damned survivors. Mine never waste that much time unless they are on my team.
And no, that's still not a "second chance perk". Survivors aren't supposed to stay injured throughout the whole match. Second chance perks are "push a button to undo a mistake", not "sandbag your team for 32 seconds to heal yourself".
1 -
Ah yeah my bad let me just alter the dbd matchmaking to give myself the best survivors apologies xoxo
1 -
...................?
Losing a chase, a crucial part of the game, is not messing up? By that definition, what is messing up? And what are second chance perks (if any).
The logic.
0 -
Even with the crappy survivors you went through I am sure it took you more than 32 seconds to hit them (not counting finding them time).
So yeah, survivor-main brain again.
0 -
Botany is one of the most reliable healing perk so far since it has no requirements to be useful (unlike we'll make it who also don't affect self healing ) at the cost of being less effective but always active.
It doesn't rely on RNG (unlike autodidact)
And isn't as situational as Solidarity.
And benefits self healing with a med kit in dire situations.
Pretty balanced so far IMO. More would be an issue for a single perk.
0 -
I think alongisde what it already does, it should buff the speed that other survivors heal you by 33%. This way it would be more viable without the necessity of carrying an item or another perk to combo it.
1 -
Lmfao.
Seriously you should become a comedian I'm in stitches at this routine and for once it ain't from just dance.
2 -
I think if you never touch killer, don't talk about balance and nerfs/buffs.
Play both sides (almost)equally then you can talk.
0 -
If they are dumb enough to be running around the nap looking for a heal sure. Most are smart enough to do something and get healed when they happen to find another survivor.
2 -
So if most are smart, and it takes less time.. Why run SC?
I don't understand survivors.
Seriously, don't be so afraid to touch killer sometimes.
0 -
In theory self care is good. In practice? Nope. I sincerely hope you play a solo queue survivor game with 3 self-care claudettes. You will see my point and understand what I mean.
1 -
Air guitar claudette band let's goooooo
2 -
The problem is when you play killer, you get a lot of SWF at high ranks.
Solo queue low level game-play is different game altogether.
I sincerely hope you play high level killer.
0 -
You're either bait or have 0 general understanding of the game.
If you're a good killer you'd probably down and hook someone in 40 seconds. So instead of having someone complete half a gen you have someone heal up 1 health state which you can instantly take away from them, you can't instantly take away half of a gen.
1 -
I'm really curious as to when all these claudies will discover what inner strength.
In fact I(m really curious as to what PERKY will do when they discover the 8 second heal. That's 4x shorter than self care so clearly it must be nerfed lmfao
1 -
Bla bla bla bla...
We are talking about Self Care as a perk.
Down and hook someone in 40 seconds, true story. Maybe if you never touch killer and you play against potatoes. Stream some high level gameplay of you finding and downing someone in 40 seconds please.
0 -
People run Self Care because you can't rely on teammates to heal you. You either don't encounter them, or the won't heal you sometimes. Self Care is used by those who don't want to rely on their team. It's also used by those who are terrified to be injured.
And I have no idea what you mean by afraid to touch killer. If you mean me being afraid to play killer I do play killer. Otherwise I have no idea what you are trying to say.
1 -
Well inner strength is balanced since you can virtually heal 5 times (if the user destroys and uses each token/totem).
Self care have unlimited use.
1 -
Self care is also bad because of how much time it wastes that could be spent on gens. It's good in circumstances but if you self care every time you're hit you're doing more harm than good.
0 -
Are you okay? Not trying to sound rude or anything but you seem to be acting a little too aggressive over a simple discussion....
1 -
Common sense explained.
Not to mention, time to take and actually cleanse a totem beats 32 seconds.
0 -
All right, you are an obvious troll. You even disproved yourself here because SWF players at high ranks NEVER use self care, because it's such a trash perk.
0 -
14 + 8 = 22
22<32.
0 -
Self Care is bad when used poorly. It can be good when used correctly. Especially when paired with Botany.
0 -
That's solo queue though.
With SWF? Like I said, they should make killers opt out SWF and most of the BS is gone.
1 -
Yeah but again how many times do you get people playing self care correctly?
0 -
Botany is a great perk as is. A staple in any healer build I run.
