My thoughts on the new matchmaking system. Good or bad?
Since the addition of the new matchmaking system, I've won 9 out of 10 matches as a Survivor. That one match I lose is against an actual good Killer.
The picture you see above is the results of one of these matches, but if I were to take a screenshot of every other match result, it would be the same. Believe me.
I can't put my finger on it whether this new system is good or bad for Dead by Daylight, but I'll let the community be the judge.

Folks, be patient. It will take some time for the system to stabilize, at least a week is my guess, maybe more depending on how much people play. Struggle through for the time being, see what happens. It's been out for a day and a half, this is going to take some time. If you haven't played at least 10 games, start with that. Even if that doesn't fix it, remember everyone else needs to do the same, that will take time. Patience is key here, day 2 means nothing. If it starts being week 2 with no change, then start worrying.

I see we have VPN survivors now too lmao... can't say I blame them if they're facing the survivor equivalent to dealing with a swf sweat squad in the MM.
he turnip name looks familiar to me, think I've played against them before. My brain is telling me a stealth killer, might have been wraith. If it's who I'm thinking, they were pretty sweaty and it was a mix of fun and adrenaline pumping but also pretty edgy against them and I got killed in the end. Can't remember if they said anything end game or though, so I can't remember if they were friendly it might have been one of those where I got so intense I backed out and took a moment to vape afterwards which usually only happens when I play killer. It feels like that sort of a match to myself when thinking of it, which I didn't always have on survivor.
It can be pretty fun when it happens as survivor though, I played against a huntress once who actually made it feel like a genuine horror game. One of the most fun matches I had even though it was pretty sweaty. Sweaty matches as survivor are often the fun kind of sweat, but sweaty as killer often feels more like work than fun for me though.

the russian names on the end game results lol. funny thing, I was frustrated with the ten to 15 minute queues one day in NA so I put on my vpn and tried london area and was getting matches within a couple to few minutes tops it seemed. I tried a name afterward in one match for a twitch stream and the guy was talking in russian and his twitch page was written in russian. I also saw a couple other russian guys that day playing on the UK region servers lol. I'd make a joke about what else to expect, but I was doing it too that day and we're not allowed to be funny in 2020.

Im russian too so its ok

ah that explains it then, I only saw two names in russian on your pics so I wondered if survivors started region hopping through vpn to sorta quasi lagswitch against rank 1 killers they started seeing or something... which I wouldn't blame anybody for just like I didn't blame killers tired of purple/red swf doing the same thing

This system is gonna be busted just as much as the rank system was if not more. The new system if I read the article right and I read it many times works like this.
If you play a killer that is new to you no matter if you are Rank 1 or Rank 20 they will match you with fellow survivors with the same low to no experience. They ignore rank and look at knowledge with the killer and the knowledge they have with that survivor.
This is the problem though because we should not ignore rank. Yes rank is not everything but it does show us that this Rank 1 player at least knows the ins and outs of the game. It shows us that even if the Rank 1 player picks a new survivor or new killer to them that they will still play better than any brand new Rank 20 player with the same chosen character. I will try to even explain it in easier terms.
Rank 1 who picks lets say Wraith for the first time ever and plays killer gets survivors who are new to Dave, Claudette, Meg, and Jake. Only Problem that Rank 1 first time Wraith is now against first time Rank 17 to 20 survivors because they are new to survivors and practically new to the game. Yes the Rank 1 IS playing Wraith for the first time BUT still has an apparent advantage in time played and knowledge of the game.
I am not trying to bash the system and even have hopes for it but the new system is more about the individual characters and ignore rank but we shouldn't ignore rank. I had many games where a Rank 1 killer was against Rank 19 and 20 survivors. Yes that Rank 1 may have never used Oni before but those Rank 19 and 20 never played anyone before and have no knowledge on how to even find a dang gen and it showed. lol

Ah, yes, sweaty matches when you have 30hrs and cant go higher then 16 rank

I don't think there is a matchmaking system.
Nothing has changed, and I don't expect it to change as I play more matches.
Show me my rating, and get rid of ranks, and maybe I'll change my opinion.

Edit: I just woke up, hadn't had my coffee, stomach killing me since last night and I'm on the boards for an asymmetrical game so I took that in a hostile manner. apologies lol. But I can't delete posts and I'm too lazy to backspace through all that or correct typos
