Haven't seen anybody use it, haven't used it myself, but it's the same as ever tbh

Not really. Now after one surv got hit, the object is destroy after 90 seconds. And the killer can see it an aura

Its trash. Was trash before and now its even bigger trash since your item disappears.

Then again just pull the old put your item on at 10 seconds or switch chars at 7 secs and play with no offering, since the new patch makes it to where if you char switch last minute your offering no longer works.

This simple but effect tactic works 95% of the time since if the killer doesnt see any items would be a waste of a perk slot.

All survivor's should just do this. If your bringing a flashlight or key you should 100% of the time use this method since killers hate those items the most.

Set your char up and then click in your right stick one time to change chars BEFORE you start searching for a match, once you load up into the lobby when the timer hits 7 secs click in your left stick one time. Ez

Also a great way to avoid lightborn since most killers wont run it if they dont see any flashlights.

Edit : notice the comment below mine to where this man literally just said he puts on franklins if he sees a key in the lobby.

Its decent. Gives me an excuse not to bring a mori each time I see a key on the lobby.

And this "logic" Is why I use Franklin's. No matter who brings in what. I'mma smack it out of hands. 😬 it is fun to watch survivors attempt to run right back and pick them up. O ly for me to just smack it again out of hands. Whoever goes for it. 😊

Place an Hag trap on the dropped object... lol works so hard

Franklins doesnt bother me so much as the killer still has to catch me first and the good ole locker tech still works against franklins. Also ive noticed killers are camping my flashlight after they knock it down.

Then the killer waste all game chasing me making sure i don't get my item back and then we just gen rush him. So its an even trade off.

Franklins is more of an annoyance than a help to the killer. Making a survivor drop his item isnt going to win or lose a killer the game and vise versa for survivor.

Hmm not totally agree, i used to run FD a lot since i had lot of keys/flashlights as a killer and it calm very fast the heroic ones in a lobby lol

But now by the time you take the 1st it and you hook the survivors, usually the 90's timer is done and you help yourself in a way no need to camp the object so i guess its fine with in those cases

Plus you got lot of hate messages in endgame chat its awesome 🀣

I'm not one that'll camp An Item. Imma be smacking the survivor. Which is the point. Most will retrace their steps hoping to grab their items again. Go ahead, I'll just keep whacking them out of hands. That never means I'm going to let a survivor go. They Are the things I'm smacking to death. (Well, twice til The Entity finishes the job) I dont speak for others like some do here. Say what You want. Franklin's works.

Franklins wouldnt even be a problem if the white ward did its job. A white ward should lock your item in regardless of FD.

Most ######### sh1t ever but then again this is DBD. So cant expect much.

    Well that's not Franklin's Problem. That's The Ward's πŸ₯΄

I had a game against a guy named "Flashlight collector". He hit me and camped the FL. All 4 escaped. In chat he said: mission accomplished...lel.

    It's sort of Franklin's problem.

Technically the white ward and the "Keep your key" key addons work by proccing if you die with an item in your hand. You can bring a white ward without an item, find an item in a chest, die, and keep the item.

Since Franklin's makes you drop your item, you technically are not carrying an item when you die.

Also something interesting of note: If you die with a white ward/weaved ring, your item will actually disappear with you. If you Mori a dude with a key and he doesn't bring a white ward, the key will be able to be taken by other survivors.

With the "Baited Traps" build on Hag, I was able to effectively destroy 2 keys, a medkit, and a flashlight. This was before the MMR system took effect and I was/still am Rank 4-3 against high ranking survivors, so I'm actually really happy with the change to FD. I really wasn't expecting it to destroy anything because of how lenient the timer is, but was surprised that 1 minute and 30 seconds felt like such a short amount of time. I also tried it on Demogorgon against a 4 man SWF who I kept playing a juggling act with over the 1 Ultra Rare key they brought into the match. Demo wasn't as effective as the baited trap build on Hag or Trapper, but it was still funny as hell knocking the key out of one of their hands, only to see the rest of the team scramble to try and distract me so one of them could pick it back up.

Lastly I used it on PH, and drew trenches over their items, which turned out more effective than I had anticipated since they would crouch and slowly move along a trench trying to find their item, only the get tormented the moment they picked it up since doing so made them stand up on the trench. Even better, If they couldn't find their item in the trench in time, after it gets eaten by the entity, they still go searching for it in the trench while crouching around, which is such a waste of time for them, and gives me an edge I wasn't expecting. Medkits and Toolboxes are easy to find in a trench, but Keys, Maps, and Flashlights aren't since the trench covers them up, so I had a lot of fun with that.

Overall, I'm actually enjoying the new FD, even if it's mostly a meme perk, and best used on Trap based killers or killers who can cover up the items with something like a Demogorgon Portal or a PH Trench/trail, The only problem I have with it though is how dim the auras on the items are, especially tiny keys, which makes it difficult to find them so you can trap them sometimes, otherwise It's been a fun improvement to the perk.

I hate it. I don't bring keys or toolboxes or medkits, I bring flashlights and maps. I dont get many in the bloodweb, and new franklins means I can't have any. Ive lost 50 flashlights, and 80 something maps. Its not fair. It still isn't good but it wastes my bps, which pisses me off.

It’s better than old Franklin’s, I usually try to avoid it by stashing my item somewhere and collecting it later or hopping in a locker, the most annoying part of Franklin’s is and always has been that a lot of players just use it upset people.

I use broken keys and I understand that some people think that’s a hatch key but it’s just for the auras, but like seriously you saw a map so you brought Franklin’s? That’s straight up just to be annoying.

I mean it's a decent strategy but it's likely to get you tunnelled by any killer who gets really irritated that you do that.

In which case you can't really blame them

The effect of Franklin's Demise could be pretty good if you want to trade items like event items with friends.

Because it will save any item that is in your hand not the item of you load in with this means you can have your friends drop you an event item then keep hold of it until even if you die you still keep it with you.

With the killer who has Franklin's demise and you think you're going to get hit you could possibly just jump in a locker this stops them from basic attacking you so you keep your item

It would've been much better if it actually disabled the item instead of consuming, even if only for the timer duration. Currently, it does nothing that it didn't use to.

It's simply an officially griefing perk. To think that they banned people for using Franklin's and dc'ing on purpose and then they rolled out this troll update.

Franklin's Demise becomes a wasted perk slot after you hit the first survivor carrying an item. They tell their SWF buds on comms to drop their items before running away from the killer, or to hop into a locker before getting hit, or to stash the keys in a hiding spot until the hatch spawns.

Even without SWF comms, I can work around Farnklin's Demise. I hide my good item from other survivors, loot a chest for a common item, get hit to test for Franklin's Demise, and if the killer has it I play safe with my good item for the rest of the match.

I don't like it at all. Before the item lost 10% upon a hit taking one heal out of a medkit with addons, and so good against a normal brown medkit that became useless. Now after this nerf they can just pick it up and it's the same. Oh yeah it can vanish, but how often will that happen.

I didn't realize it was altered. But, regardless, I think Franklin's is one of, if not my #1, favorite killer perk.

It's won me a fair few games because survivors get greedy. lol

Survivor side it doesn't bother me too much because I rarely get utility out of my items. Like, I'm turds at flashlights, I use my toolboxes 30 seconds in, and medkits go quick.

Plus I die like 85% of the time anyway 😬😬😬 (I'm a bad survivor, lol)

Just last second switch to avoid Franklin's - it's apparently never being addressed and does not violate the ToS, so abuse away!

One of my favourite perks rn.

It helps so much against annoying items and also puts additional pressure on survivors.

Franklin hag feels like she's got a new life.

That "tactic" is why I always will use Franklin's.

Folk believe everyone is cut from the same mold 100% of the time. Not everybody needs all 4 perks. Hell the challenge for using the 3 main perks of whatever character IS an achievement/trophy. So quickly forgotten the second that 4th perk option opens. So what IF someone believes its wasting a 4th perk slot.

One downside of new Franklin's is you can't deny a full heal by smacking a Survivor, since it doesn't remove charges from the item anymore.

The 90 second thing is irrelevant. You'll lose the game if you camp an item instead of patrolling gens.

When I play as hag, I totally use it. Flashlights are killer to traps. And now that I can see them, I'm totally trapping them

Hey Devs, this is the exact reason why killers should have an extra 15 seconds to make changes after survivors are locked in. It's even more needed now that killers are locked into the character they joined the lobby with.
