Overwhelming Presence Buff

Overwhelming Presence isn't a very strong perk. At least I think it isn't, I have literally never seen a Killer running it. It's also very difficult to see if it is even doing anything for you AS the Killer. It is also very easy to avoid, as you can just stop using your item the moment you see OP is being used. This is easily The Doctor's worse perk.

The change to Franklin's Demise opens up a buff for our poor OP!

Overwhelming Presence

Your presence alone instills great fear. Survivors within your Terror Radius suffer from inefficiency.

Affected Survivor's Item Consumption rates are increased by 80/90/100%

Your vicious Basic Attacks make the Survivor's item lose 0/5/10% of its base amount of Charges.

So even if they see you are using OP, they are not immune to losing charges!

I run Overwhelming Presence (which by itself is pretty underwhelming) But add in with Distressing regularly on Trapper, Legion, Freddy and Pyramid Head. I'd run that combo on more killers but those are the only ones I have both of them at rank 3 and they work pretty well together.

Distressing disorientates Survivors who are used to standard terror radius (which works even better on killers like Freddy who already don't have a standard terror mechanic) and Overwhelming Presence which becomes even more powerful with larger effect area. Another good perk to run with these is Coulrophobia

Even with that build though, it still isn't doing much for you.

    Distressing - disorientating

    Coulrophobia - very strong anti-heal

Overwhelming Presence - just stop using item lmao

Some perks by themselves arent great but together work really well. An example of Survivor perks that do this are:

Quick 'n Quiet - Make no noise while running into a vault

Dance With Me - Leave no scratch marks for 3 seconds after vaulting from run speed

Lithe - burst into sprint speed after running into a vault

Combined you make no noise while vaulting into a sprint and leave no scratch marks for 3 seconds.

I wouldnt run Overwhelming Presence alone for this reason.

Oh wait, never mind I got my perks mixed up. Its Unnerving Presence that I use with Distressing. It's overwhelming Presence I never use because it's terrible lmao

As a counterpoint, though, considering how good tools are, saying that survivors "simply don't use tools" when they could be using them is actually a useful effect. To measure the true effect of Overwhelming Presence you need to compare how much total time the survivors could have saved by using their tools when they had the chance versus how much time they actually spent doing actions because they either didn't use their tools or their tools expired early. Note also that it's a passive effect that hits potentially up to all four survivors simultaneously in your terror radius so even if the benefit is modest the cumulative penalty over all the survivors over the course of the game could be significant (e.g. four survivors each losing 5-15 seconds of time is 20-60 seconds lost which is the equivalent of 1-3 kicks from Pop Goes the Weasel passively gained.)

Mind you, I'm not saying it's a "great" perk or anything, I think it's mainly something you'd throw in with a "I Want Them To Hear Me Coming" build like Distressing/Unnerving Presence/Overwhelming Presence/Courophobia. But in that scenario it's probably decent. 😀

I suppose if Overwhelming Presence was to be used and a Survivor is trying to mend with a grey med kit normally they'd be able to heal to full with it but with 'op' loaded they wouldnt be able to do this.
