New killer idea "Werewolf"

Obviously from the name the killer will be based off of a werewolf design and concept. Other names like the beast or Wolfman can be chosen later.

Design wise you could have a default look like a wolf that is humanoid in shape or a human turning into a wolf, there are many ways to represent werewolves so that leaves a lot of skin options.

By concept what we want is attack and abilities. Obviously to attack the werewolf will have claws to rip apart his prey with. By default every successful hit would trigger a howl from the wolf causing him to slow for the delay between hits and time for survivors to get another headstart from being hit. A werewolf Mori would obviously have the brutality and bloodlust most werewolves are known for, idea: survivor stumbles up to a stand looks behind them where the werewolf is on all fours stalking and pounces at the survivors throat biting it off that then leads into the survivor falling and the werewolf shredding into them with its claws and mouth in a bloodrage howling to the moon after the prey is silent.

Abilities: wolves are known for stalking their prey and dbd happens to have a good stalking setup already. Hence the werewolf will have a hunt mode and stalk mode. While hunting the werewolf will walk on two legs at a good pace where it can just outrun a survivor and have it's claws ready to swipe. In order to get into stalk mode players will right click while in hunt mode, also while in stalk mode players will left click to enter hunt mode. While stalking the werewolf will move with a four appendages to the ground allowing for much faster movement when stalking. Also while stalking the werewolf will be able to use it's right click ability which will involve it's superior hunting ability the sixth sense. The wolf will stand still and sniff the air trying to track nearby prey. All nearby foliage will black out/semi-transparent and any survivor trails within range will light up and become very easily to see/follow for a certain amount of time (even slightly old trails you wouldn't see normally because they are too faded, but trails will still disappear after too long), if a survivor is within that range they will glow red. There will obviously have to be a delay between stalking and hunting mode given the werewolf will move faster while stalking and be undetectable (no heartbeat) other than the snarls it gives off if players listen carefully.

Perks: let's try a Trinity. Wolves hunting, werewolves bloodlust, humans intelligence.

Perk 1 will be based off of the effectiveness of the werewolves wolf side, hunting effectiveness. Let's call it "Superior senses". This perk will essentially increase the effective range of the werewolves sixth sense ability as well as duration. Not very useful as a teachable perk.

Perk 2 will be based off the cruelty and bloodlust werewolves are known for. Let's call this one "Seeing red". This perk will essentially give a counter for every successful hit on survivors. Up to a certain amount, let's say 10, the werewolf will enter a permanent bloodlust rage of level 1 (the ability all killers get while chasing a target and keeping them within eyesight for a speed boost). If he manages to get another 4 counters he will gain another level but there must be an unlit totem on the map that will then light up giving him the bonus. Players can then break lit or unlit totems to prevent leveling up. As a cruel measure if the werewolf can reach level 3 he has one hit downs and level 4 he can kill his prey. (Very unlikely to obtain but very rewarding for killers who manage to somehow do it)

Perk 3 will be based on the human side of a werewolf, or the intelligence of the beast. Let's call this one "It knows". This perk essential shows the cunning intelligence of the beast. After damaging a generator the perk will activate. If the werewolf damages another generator the ability will deactivate but if the werewolf hits the same generator again it does bonus damage as well as places a mark on the generator. If a survivor tries to fix a marked generator they are revealed and exposed to the beast for so long (5 second reveal 30 second exposure, gets better by tier). A good perk against survivors who run by and tap generators, or for that one survivor you can never find but he somehow manages to fix the gen within seconds of you hitting it. There is also the risk of not hitting other generators get the mark, balancing out the no time limit of perk activation

Let me know what you think of my idea and hopefully sometime in the future a full moon comes out in dbd

I was actually thinking that instead of a Werewolf Killer, we could get a Werewolf skin for Demogorgon... unlikely to happen, but it would look neat nonetheless! 😋

While I'm not sure about the perks, I do like the different forms of hunting and stalking!
