Introduction

Hello, fellow forum dwellers and, hopefully, developers.

Demogorgon is not a bad killer by all means, but I feel he could be a lot better and a lot more fun to play with some small QoL changes. Also, almost all of his add-ons are very underwhelming and require some tweaks.

The latest patch brought us, Demo mains, a really nice change, or rather, a bug fix. His Shreds don't randomly miss now if you land right ontop of a survivor. But there is a lot more room for improvement and here is what I'm suggesting:

Of The Abyss:

  1. Slightly increase base movement speed while traversing the Upside Down
  2. Slightly increase base portal setting speed (From 1 second to 0.75 seconds)
  3. Increase the base time of The Undetectable status effect when emerging from a portal (From 2 to 4 seconds)
  4. Sealing portals now takes longer (From 12 seconds solo to 16 seconds solo, efficiency penalties remain unchanged)
  5. Sealing skillcheks now appear more often and are much smaller.

Shred:

  1. Shred can no longer be canceled by pressing the attack button while charging it.
  2. Increase movement speed while charging Shred (from 92% to 101%)

Add-Ons:

Common Add-Ons:

Rotten Pumpkin: Increases the total number of availible portals by 2.

Black Heart: Unchanged.

Rat Liver: Hitting a healthy survivor with Shred applies the Blindness status affect for 60 seconds.

Rat Tail: Sligtly increases portal opening speed. Slightly increases portal entering speed. (from 0.75 to 0.5 seconds and from 1.5 to 1 second respectively)

Uncommon Add-Ons:

Sticky Lining: Unchanged

Viscous Webbing: Hitting a healthy survivor with Shred applies the Mangled status effect for 45 seconds.

Rotten Green Tripe: Unchanged

Mew's Guts: Slightly decreases the cooldown of both missed and succsessful Shred attacks (From 2.25 to 2.0 and From 3 to 2.5 seconds respectively)

Barb's Glasses: Effect Unchanged. Values changed from -1.5 seconds to -2 seconds.

Rare Add-Ons:

Eleven's Soda: Effect Unchanged. Values changed from -2 seconds to -3 seconds.

Thorny Vines: Reveals the aura of the survivours who are under the effect of portals. This effect lingers for 10 seconds after leaving the Portal's area of effect.

Brass Case Lighter: Downing a survivor with Shred will regress all generators within 24 meters of the downed survivor by 10% (does not apply lingering regression).

Violet Waxcap: Effect Unchanged. Values changed from +0.5 seconds to +2 seconds.

Deer Lung: Unchanged.

Very Rare Add-Ons:

Lifeguard Whistle: Effect Unchanged. Values changed from 5 seconds to 15 seconds.

Vermillion Webcap: Effect Unchanged. Values changes from +1 second to + 3 seconds.

Upside Down Resin: Cleansing a portal will block all generators and vault locations within 20 meters of the cleansed portal for 15 seconds.

Unknown Egg: Inactive portals will now reveal nearby survivors via killer instinct. Survivors can see inactive portals but cannot cleanse them. Increases the cooldown from traversing the upside down from 14 to 16 seconds.

Ultra Rare Add-Ons:

Leprose Lichen: Reduces the amount of availible portals by 3. Tremendously reduces the cooldown after traversing a portal (from 14 to 4 seconds). The Demogorgon no longer emits a map-wide noise notification upon entering a portal.

Red Moss: Shred will now go through breakable walls and dropped pallets. Hitting an injured survivor within 2 seconds after breaking a pallet or a wall with shred will inflict the Deep Wound status effect and will not down them.

That's All!

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. All feedback is very much appreciated, if you disagree with something or have a better idea - please, let me know.

If you liked all of my proposed changes be sure to leave a comment as well. Each comment makes this post more noticable and gives it a higher possibility to be noticed by the developers. If you want justice for Demo - this is your chance to get it. Make the developers hear our voices!

The good thing about Demo is there are plenty of places it can be improved. One of my main issues with Demo I didn't see you address though. That is the global notification survivors get when he uses the tunnels. Giving him undetectable after using a portal is pointless if survivors know he just used one.

I also don't understand your suggestion to change shred. Why would he move faster while charging his attack and why would he be unable to cancel the attack? Honestly, I think shred is fine the way it is.

His movement speed increase is Rat Liver being incorporated in his base kit to improve his Zoning capabilities.

And the Shred cancel is the little annoying thing when you press the attack button too early you cancel your shred and lose the chase. Similar QoL thing was done to Bubba in the recent rework.
