Look, I know you hate the devs, but...
... I see very, very little PTB participation from the loudest naysayers, only a lot of parroting what big name youtubers state.
I rarely see 'criticism' posts that would not boil down to 'behavior bad because they make me play differently depending who i play as/against'
And most 'criticism' posts seem to be under the assumption that fixing a bug can be done within a second of someone pointing it out (after not having been on the ptb)
Is the MMR wonky? yeah, but it needs time to get smoothed out.
Should there be a colorblind mode and the visual heartbeat etc from the mobile version? sure.
but these are not the things people rage and rave and rant about.
No, people just wail because they believe they know how things work when they don't, but demand the world bends to their understanding.
FFS sake, cut it out...
(everyone posting 'bait' etc because they have their widdle feeling hurt is morally obliged to donate 10 bucks to my kofi, thank you)

It needs time for them to eventually smooth it out with FIXES. yes. But the idea that it’s working as intended, No. it’s clearly not. And they won’t admit it until a year later.

I hate campers/tunnelers, not devs

My biggest problem is that they're trying to make a competitive game but only have 2 people on the balance team, I don't think I need to explain why thats not a good idea.

They also never said its working like intended. Even if its not working, why should they make a post about it ? They could use the time to fix it. Also no matter what they, the community will trashtalk them anyway.

I agree.
But at the same time, with as little constructive input as I see on the forum (i'm not on the discord, so i can't say what's going on there) I'd say it's only making things even harder.
again, with the example of threads about buffs/nerfs:
Threads that, e.g. say how to change Spirit's gameplay while keeping it interesting and challenging for both sides are few and far between. the majority of threads is merely 'she has absolutely NO counter cause I don't wanna play differently than from playing against trapper nerf pls' and the like.
Judging by my own coding experience, with an overwhelming 'input' of that kind, the best devs can do it throw things at the wall and see what sticks. And lbh, this seems to be what they are doing.
So, by all means, it's up to us to provide better feedback.
And hey, at least they would never go and wait 4 months to pseudo-fix an ACTUAL fully gamebreaking bug despite modders pointing out what went wrong two days after the culprit patch.

Thats true, a lot of the time its just a bunch of bitching. We should try to be more constructive.

I mean, I have been in far far far worse fan communities.
Which makes what I see here all the more devastating, truth be told. Like, just look at twitter for example: devs make a tweet, majority of responses are insults and demands they are more than likely sick of seeing/hearing.
I'd not be surprised if the community killed the enthusiasm.

Yeah nothing will ever beat LOL in terms of toxicity. I wish the devs tried to make DBD a more casual game, so people aren't nearly as salty and balance isn't a massive factor.

I've seen people go up in arms against a proposed colorblind mode (being able to toggle the colors of auras and scratchmarks), so the community isn't that clear.
yeah, but there you will get the hatred of those that see dbd as overly competetive. the same people that have just one M.O. when playing and demand the devs cater to them exclusively.

Yeah, but this current system doesn't really help anyone. I still have fun, but DBD just is not meant to be ranked. Theres gonna be hatred either way.

The game has been out for 4 years and some bugs keep coming back. We know that stuff can take time and new patches will probably generate new bugs. But the amount of issues that the last patch has is a bit too much. For me the worst part of the game is the insane amount of bugs, the lack of response or communication from the developer team and the false information. Just look at the MMR system and the "We have already collected data" but now "It will take 20 matches to properly find your MMR" so why don't say the second state from the beginning?
The majority of players are old players, they have been playing for a long time and have seen many bugs for ages that never get fixed, like the sound one's. But at the same time we get responses and patch notes that says "The sound have been fixed" but it's not true because the issues remains. Why can't we have just a "We are looking for this issue and hope to fix it soon" and when you fix it, you fix it for good. Or keep a place to say we* are in knowledge of this issues and we are looking for the fixes as soon as possible.
This game is not an early access one, but after the last patch it feels that way (again).

Please explain, how you are able to see people who criticize changes on the PTB as participators or not? Making an assumption thread based on other supposed assumption threads benefits nobody.
