A few tips to help newer killers out

First off let me say these are the things that i do as killer to secure my 4ks. I am a rank 1 killer as well as a rank 1 survivor with about 1200 hrs played.

You also have to remember that no matter how good you are, your gonna lose some time. You cant win them all.

With that being said, lets start

First thing that will help you is being able to identify weather or not a survivor is good in chase or not.

If your chasing the first survivor of the match and the first gen gets popped and you havent even hit them, there running loops super efficient and not falling for any mind games... YOU NEED TO LEAVE THIS SURVIVOR.

So many times i see a killer commit to a chase to long and end up losing because by the time you do get him 4 gens are done and nobody else has been hooked. GG next game you lose.

Identify the weak link in the team. Chase somebody else, its very rare that everybody is going to be good at chases. Even in a swf team there is usually a weak link.

Now for the juicy info on these meta second chance perks

Okay we'll start with DS

While this perk is very strong it isnt uncountable. To beat DS you need to tunnel on first hook but you dont need to be a butt about it. When they get unhooked you tunnel and pick them right back up if they have ds then its gone. If they dont have it then drop them and now there slugged creating pressure, or hook them for second hook and then let them get saved and then just slug him. (There is no counter if someone gets saved on egc and has DS. Their making it out 100% unless there a legit potato)

He will use unbreakable if he has it guaranteed or someone will come to save while your chasing the person who saved. Now only one guy is working on a gen.

You repeat this process and force them to use their perks early game. You remember that guy earlier that wasnt good in chases. Find him and slug him again. Make survivors come to save, proxy camp and slug the person who comes to make the save.

Now you have 2 survivors on the ground and when you find your 3rd guy and down him you hook him. Now the last guy has to come help or unbreakables will be used for sure.

For dead hard, if you havent seen the survivors use an exhaustion perk in front of you when your within swinging range you simply wait an extra 2 seconds for them to use it then swing.

For the all mighty great and dandy god tier 360, if a survivors does this once to you the next time your in swinging range simply just STOP moving. He will end up right in front of you for a good laugh and easy hit.

This is the general process of how i play my games, and hopefully this will help out some newer killers who are struggling in to lock down there kills.

For all the people saying tunneling and slugging is gay ect ole well. Welcome to dbd from my personal experience as a rank 1 survivor who runs the meta perks almost all the time.

If a killer is tunneling and slugging to make me use all my second chance meta perks than thats okay, but dont tunnel me to death. Let me get saved and make it away so i feel like i have a fair chance for a 1v1 when we meet again.

    Something OP forgot to mention:

All killers that aren't under the effect of "Undetectable" Have both a Terror Radius, and a "Red Stain" or red flashlight effect emitting from their heads that extends about 1.5 meters in front of them (1 and 1/2 generators lengthwise). From the killers perspective, you never see your own glowing Red Stain, but survivors see it clear as day, and use it to spot and identify you from afar, however, there is one other, more crucial, way survivors use it to their advantage: Killer prediction at loops.

At loops like the T-L walls, or the various Jungle Gyms, basically any loop that has High walls, the survivors often lose sight of you during the chase, but rely on spotting the red stain you emit in order to tell which direction you are heading. If all you do is move forward at these loops, the survivors will time and time again see your red stain about a half-second before they see you, and with this early warning they will counter you by avoiding whichever direction you are moving. This may not seem fair, but fortunately you can make it work in your favor.

Learning to manipulate the red stain in front of you is basic killer 101 advice. As long as you know it's there, you can turn it one way while moving another and throw off survivors who rely on it for easy hits. Try following a survivor around a loop, but once you feel like your stain is extending beyond a corner, either back track or turn around before continuing in the direction you were going. Survivors looking for the stain will see it back track, or disappear and assume you turned around to head in a different direction, and will try to counter you by backtracking themselves right into your weapon. Not all survivors fall for this, but the less you allow them to see your red stain or the direction its pointed, the less information they have on the direction you are going, and this, more often than not, causes them to make costly mistakes at loops and net you quicker downs.
