Secondary objective for survivor gameplay.
For a long time, it has been suggested the possibility of giving survivors a secondary objective before escaping. This request became popular for mainly two reasons. The first being the generator speed in the actual state of the game, assuming that a second goal would slow survivors down. The second reason is the amount of people that consider survivor gameplay extremely boring and unskilled. Personally, I agree with those statements. Not only is very monotonous to just hold M1 in a generator most of the match, but also, what actually is the biggest part on the game for survivors don't require much skill or critical thinking.
Knowing that, I think it's about time the community starts discussing what they want for a secondary objective. If this secondary objective consists of something that will require other skills for survivors, such as searching, hiding or thinking, I will not discuss it on this thread. Instead, I want to know your opinion on which type of secondary objective you would want. When I thought about, I could think two types of objectives that could be implemented: An objective that improves the generator mechanic and another series objectives that lead to another ending of the match. Let me explain each one.
The first suggestion would be about putting something that blocks the generator progression on a certain point of the match, either the entity blocking certain generators given a certain condition or placing an item that will unlock certain generators to be repaired. When thinking about an example for this, I imagined the survivors having to get specific fuses to repair specific generators. Let's assume that there are three generators in the map, A, B and C, and you need to repair at least two of them to open the exit gates. Given that, generator A and C don't have fuses, so you need to search for specific fuses for one of those generators to be able to repair them. Of course, you would be able to fully repair generator B without searching for fuses. However, at some point, you would need to repair one of the other two generators. This idea would make survivors develop their searching skill and also force them to develop a strategy depending on how the game goes, since they could rush the generators that don't need fuses, or take advantage on the beginning of the game to repair the others that are blocked.
The second suggestion would be about implementing a second series of objectives that lead to escape of survivors. For this, I used the Friday 13th game as an inspiration. On that game, you had multiple ways of escaping the camp which you could decide based on what resources were available for you, how the other survivors were behaving or what you simply thought was more convenient.
Trying to apply this logic to Dead by Daylight is quite hard considering the maps, but I still think would make the game a lot more fun. For an example for this, think about a third exit game implemented on the maps. However, unlike the other exit gates, this one is powered by a water wheel and to power up this water wheel, you would need to repair a certain amount of water pumps in the map. The catch is: There are only three water pumps and you need to repair all of them to escape by that way. On this scenario, it's much easier to repair all of the three water pumps since there are less of them, but since there are only three of them, the killer can simply camp the last pump. This would make the survivors think if they want to take the shorter and riskier way, given that they may just be losing time by doing this, or go for the old safer way. Not only this would make survivors think critically on what strategy they want to go with, but also make them work together in order to go for a certain objective.
Now, I would like to hear your opinion on what do you think the secondary objective should be. If you like one of the two schools of thought that I presented, feel free to increment with your own ideas on how exactly should be. Of course, if you think that the secondary objective should be something completely different, please do comment as well.

I don't think survivors need a secondary objective
After years of repeatly fixing the same gens over and over and over again... the game is still addictive as hell.
It doesn't need changing. Is it worth the risk of adding a new objective, and then it ends up ruining the game?

A mix of both
Both are great ideas it give the killer a chance to win I mean it's a 4vs1 the killer could chase a survivor for even a little to long and they could lose two generators and the match is just about over for the killer by then. It gives the survivors something else to do and it would take more time for a survivor to fix a generator. Fuses for the generators is an awesome idea I never thought of that idea, it adds a little bit of reality to the game too.
