Caging mechanics are trash
The fact that i can't give or receive BT from cages, or no one gets DS out of them is trash. Most pyramids go straight for the cage after because there's absolutely no downside or punishment for being a tunneling pos.

No, that is the function of the cages. To counter some perks. The devs have already fixed this issue, removing the auras from the cages for the killer.

Don't you understand that it doesn't make sense to make my perks mean nothing when i have no clue as to what killer i'll be facing. Make the cages correlate to his mori ability, not a hook stage that wasn't actually a hook stage.

Don’t have your DS to save you?
He doesn’t know the location of cages and if he gets near a cage too long it teleports somewhere else, you literally don’t need DS if Red Pyramid doesn’t know where the cage is until someone is saved.

tbh the issue is still there. The relocating thing actually helps killer half the time. The issue right now is the spawning location is too obvious because it's almost directly on the other side of the map of the killer who can just b-line it there. Since there is limited spawn locations the killer can usually hone in on the survivor really quickly. However another survivor going to uncage meets the killer there but regardless the killer can stand near the cage to move them on the opposite side of the map. So now survivors have to travel to that side wasting even more time. Although with this they are now engaged in a chase with the killer who can now hit the survivor without worrying about them saving before the second hit lands.
The fix should have been removal of auras and uncage at any rotation. The teleporting cage only helps killer in most situations because you can abuse it to waste survivors time.
If the relocation thing stays there needs to be a lot more locations for survivor to teleport to.

Have you played PH? It’s not hard to know where cages are going to be, and they only despawn if you’re face camping it

DS doesn’t always punish tunneling, believe me that 60 second timer is long enough for 2 hooks to take place and still activate when picked up. His cages were designed to counter perks like BT and DS and in most cases, these perks are not even used for the anti-tunnel/anti-camp idea and are just used aggressively during endgame. His cages are in a perfectly balanced state and if you take away the ability for it to counter hook perks (both sides, he can’t use PGTW, DH, MYC, ETC when using cages) it could actually result in buffing him instead of nerfing him as cages spawn far enough for Devour Hope stacks and it can be used for a quick PGTW.

Most pyramid heads don't. They leave the debuff on you and wait till you're on last hook then fast mori. What type of pyramid heads you been running into?

yes, actually he is the only reason why I main him. And his cages always spawn opposite of him but its not worth going towards those or else a competent team will always win

Depends. Nobody’s going to send someone to a cage for the first hook. 2nd gives you the most value (negate BT/DS/etc). I don’t think PH needs a sound/visual notification after someone is freed from a cage. To me that would be a fair trade off: I don’t know where you are and a couple of perks might not proc. More fair at least. He’s too easy to punish people imo (har har I know his name, but in Silent Hill he’s more a representation of his psyche than anything else)

Yeah I'd agree remove the sound notification it makes tunneling too easy. PH already has enough going for him mind you I pretty much play nothing but PH and Nurse atm. Both killers pretty much share the same weaknesses to an extent and not too many survivors realize this.

killer doesn't get hooking perks you don't get hooking perks a 100% sacrifice on the killers team for a 25% sacrifice from you, don't like it then don't play survivor

Calm spirit counters doctor. Iron will counters spirit. Slippery meat counters trapper. It's not like you know what killer you are going to go against. You just bring the perks and hope it helps you. People stick with meta perks so they can use it everytime. Which is why pyramid head was introduced.

Why would you want the cages changed to be that? If the cages only counted towards his mini mori then you're effectively giving survivors 6 lives. There'd be absolutely no reason to cage anyone if they were changed to work like that. Torment goes away when you get caged or if you rescue another caged survivor and most survivors tend to avoid the trails like the plague anyway. Changing it like that would just create a lot of unecessary work for PH. If I've hooked somebody twice in your proposed changes why would ever want to cage them for the first time? It won't kill them and I've just effectively given them another chance to survive and escape.

Sure, you act like this stuff is permanent, how about don’t go to the side of the map that’s been used and use the other side.
Also, you know what a window is yea? You can see to the other side. He can’t put it on stairs, or did you mean he left a whole line at the top. Well, take a hit and dead hard it.

For what it's worth, the "doesn't count as a hook" works both ways. Pyramid Head doesn't get Barbecue & Chili, Pop Goes The Weasel, or similar when he cages Survivors.
It counts a a hook only in terms of hook progress.

I don't think that is something that need to be changed. I mean when you play PH you don't the aura of the cages, and cages are spawning as far as possible from you when you do the action of sending a survivor to a cage.
So tunneling caged survivor as PH isn't a common thing.

I'm confused with that. I Know DS is called an anti tunnel perk, but does it really stop the killer from tunneling as a whole? It's still their choice to go after you after you DS them right? Or am I getting something wrong 😰

I've always thought of it as anti-tunnel in the sense it can punish killers who do it. Best case is killer doesn't tunnel and you basically don't have a perk in that slot, but if he does, you can do something about it

Thats the risk you take when running any hex, every killer knows that going in. But not having anything to counter cages is the argument.

Uh, on top of what the others are saying; the cage spawns HALF A STAGE AWAY from P.H [Pyramid head.] So the favor are on our odds. If the killer finds the caged person in time, that's your loss. Not only that but as they said, the cage will literally teleport to keep pyramid head from tunneling or camping. If anything torment is completely balanced and you shouldnt be complaining.
