All Hex, All the Time
Not a discussion about viability or value, consider it my meme build if you want, but I wanted the communities opinion on which Killer or Killer Type would benefit more from Hex builds.
Like, If I ran...
- Ruin
- Devour
- Retribution
- Haunted Grounds

I’d say Hag, if she got traps up they would be untouchable. Unless there are flashlights, in which case I’d say demo is the way to go.

billy, fast map mobility to get value off the retribution sight and the effects of ruin and haunted grounds.

Yeah, thats my issue, Stealth/Trap/Mobility. Each one could potential build off this Hex thing but none jump out as the obvious choice. I dunno, guess this is one of those times where it just comes down to personal preference.

As a Shaman build main, i suggest Legion and Wraith, two offf the more faster killers who do not most of their chases anyway.
And i'll be a little blunt, that hex build is not gonna pay of, you got 2 punishment perks [haunted, retri] both require cleansing which is a nono, you want them to waste as much time on the totems instead of just gritting their teeth for 10-60 seconds. I suggest taking Thrill over Retri to keep them alive longer.
Ruin is good but doesn't help to snowball as much and send survivors off to do totems, which you might assume is good based on what i saod before but it actually isn't, all 4 can know from the get-go and you'll find multiple people on totems at the same time making you sacrifice at least 1, if you guessed right, free down on one with haunted, if you didn't well goodbye devour. I personally would suggest third seal, it allows for some great snowballing while applying more pressure than most can deal with, even swf can get frustrated depening on where you slug/hook them "Yea he slugged me in the open room" 'bro... We're on the ######### game.' Etc.
Overall though, high mobility killers are great for them, it is a snowball and slowdown build, forcing survivors to go cleanse if they wanna lose a weaker effect only to give their position away and allow you to acquire devour

Well yeah, I’m on board with what your saying, I love the RNG or Hex builds and it gives something extra for the survivors to do and points to earn, so I’ve always favored Hex and look forward to more of them. My real issue has been my shackle to BBQ because of the BP grind and my now addiction to it. Finally, I’ve managed to get all Killers lvl 50 with all Perks, so I’m finally in a place where I can just play a Hex Builds.
It’s just, which Killers should I use? I’m still undecided.

I’ve always found Devour to be the most annoying on a Trapper. Especially one with TOTH as you have to wait until they’re deep in a chase or carrying a survivor to a hook before you can get it cleansed. And that’s only if the downed survivor isn’t near the totem. Hag is a close second, but most smart players will crouch walk to a totem once they know it’s a Hag player.

way totems are hidden hex perks are useless.

I'm not one for hex totums. But if I was, I only wish all totums glowed exactly the same as all. That's the only thing I dont trust with totums. Only a couple glowing. Easily seen. The chances of it's specifics will be destroyed might as well not have a perk. But then this would be an incentive to do bones for NOED use. And then there's those who dont bother cleansing. The factors are so differed. 🤷♂️
