Jake could look more Korean
If there is a graphics update I think it's something that could be addressed.

I originally thought Jake was Native American. I think a lot of people did/do.

I didn't even realize he was Korean, yet to read lore before Myers

...do all koreans look a specific certain way?
Like, does it need to be overly stereotyped for him to "be" korean?
Foh with that.

Korean's have features that are distinct to the Asian community, yes.
But the truth is, lots of players don't even realize Jake is Asian.
So if Quentin's face can get a rework because it was executed poorly (in relation to the actors features), I figured I'd bring this up.

I mean if his bio says that he's Korean and his character design is supposed to reflect some attributes of that then it isn't troublesome at all. Exactly like how Claudette is a black female in her appearance, if it stated that she was a 7ft tall skinny white guy with a mustache then you'd question why her appearance doesn't match her description.
I don't know why you attach the racial stereotype phrase to the original post.

I'm pretty sure they won't do that just because they modeled him after one of the employees at BHVR

And his features rule out him being Korean how?
Because I've never had issues understanding he was asian. From the name to the design and his story. Its not hard to grasp.
He doesnt need to be "every korean archetype" visually to be korean.
Like you said, if his story is korean (it is) and he visually looks korean (which, he looks more korean than white), wheres the problem? Or does he have to be blatantly stereotypically korean for you to accept it?

His face got a rework because it was licensed and they holders likely werent happy.
Koreans have distinct features, but that doesnt mean hes not korean simply because they dont jump out at you. Would the "great leader" haircut make him more korean? No, it would be pandering.
People from all backgrounds look all types of ways.
Ffs Markiplier is korean, but he looks like a white american. Doesnt make him less korean just because you cant go "oh look, distinctly asian features!"

^ this
Bill and David are actually african americans.

What?

what, you think african americans all have to look a certain way?

He looks Korean to me, I don’t really get it.
Just assume his mother was white or biracial if he doesn’t look “Korean enough” to you, I guess?

I do think he could use a touch up tbh. I definitely registered him as "asian" immediately. Though it wasn't until I saw his last name that I realized he was supposed to be Korean. And no, i'm not stero-typing what specific asians should look like (I'm half myself) but you can definitely tell them apart.

I didn't say his current features don't let the player know of Jake Parks background ethnicity and whatnot.
You complain saying that using Korean stereotypes are bad but then state that Jake looks Korean enough for people to understand that he's Korean.
I think you're seeing fault in someone wanting to see an original character get a new look.

Koreans have very distinct features. What, you think all Asians look alike? lol Seriously, Korean people are very distinct features. I guess I've just been around so many people of Korean, Chinese and Japanese heritage that I notice it easily compared to others.

Yes. They usually have dark skin and hair, compared to other ethnicities. There are some exceptions, like albino african-americans, but that tends to happen due to genetic mutations.

I totally thought he was Native American or maybe Mexican from beard cosmetics.

Quentin was never meant to look like his actor. Just like Laurie and Tapp. The face was considered always ugly because they tried to go „looking like a tired teen“ but failed. Heavily.
then the actor gave an unofficial approval that they may use his appearance for a face rework (which they didn’t even try to get back then).
Jake may get a slight rework but I guess if they really look into the faces with the graphical update, that should already fix the ‚issue‘

You're acting very keyboard warrier-y right now.
I and many other people thought Jake was Native American (or even mixed). He doesn't really look Asian at all imo. So, yes, it could be fixed.
Why are you so offended?

Pretty sure Mark is only half Korean.
2 -
Yeah, Mark is Korean/White (german specifically i believe) the white really do creep up on the poor half kids. I speak from experience😅

Not necessary, IMO. Why not just introduce another Korean character?
