Any word on the server improvements?

Title, basically. As much as I love seeing the reworks and such, the biggest thing I was excited for was the improvements to the servers, and was greatly saddened to see them delayed.
As such, I just wanted to ask if there was an ETA on them, or any sort of projected timeframe for a PTB, or any news on their progress at all, really.

Devs unfortunately had more pressing matters to attend to, like implementing and subsequently revoking an MMR system no one asked for. But hey, it'll probably be in the October midchapter patch! ...Of 2021
