Counter to 4 man rank 1 SWF Squad
So my most recent game was awful. For starters they sent me to Ormond despite my map offering for Midwich. Then they gen rush me so I patrol 3 gens close by. Then I get a hook and the exit gates are open so I stand near the hook. They are still able to get the save however and use a key to get in the hatch before I can hook another one. I was playing legion by the way. Anyway what you all do when you match up against these groups ? I am a purple rank killer by the way so I don't get why I matched with all of these red ranks :(

The only true counters to determined and skilled 4man SWF is either an ebony mori, or being skilled at Nurse or Spirit.

I wouldn't recommend running a console nurse at even a semi-skilled SWF she'll get wrecked hard. Spirit might do though...

In hindsight I probably should have tunneled the rank 6 Claudette because the rest were rank one and were far above my skill level. I just don't like tunneling 😅

There really isn't a counter. The game isn't balanced around that.

If survivors do the generators fast, then there is nothing wrong with you doing the killing fast. You are both being efficient by rushing the objective.

There´s actually not much you can do. Good survivor 4 man groups that are hellbent on winnign will win 95% of the time, the 5% being the very best nurse/spirit players with the best perks/addons and an ebony mori or they get unbelievably unlucky somehow.
You see this in the tournaments, pretty much only Nurse and Spirit are picked if the rules allow it, since any other killer simply gets steamrolled. It is what it is.
But the saving grace is not every 4 man is trying to win so it´s fine /s
Don´t take it to heart man it happens to everyone

Slugging is the quickest way to build pressure although it only works if you have someone to immediately pressure after you down a survivor and the slugged survivor doesn't have unbreakable.
You can also try to force hook states by making sure a survivor on a hook goes to the next hook state, but you can't just camp the hook from the start either. Best to return to the hook after downing or hooking someone else when a survivor is close to the next hook state.
Unfortunately survivors have far more tools with 2nd chance perks that as long as they don't go down instantly in chases and split up to do gens, there's very little you can actually do to stop them.

- Learn to play Nurse at a good level
- ????
- Profit.
Alternatively slap Stridor on Spirit and even the best survivors will go down in no time, because there's kind of no counterplay to that.

Slugging isn't even that effective cause all the sweatiest teams run DS/Unbreakable. You can either accept the fact that it's impossible to win and just do your best and not care about the result, or you can tunnel/facecamp to try to ruin their gaming experience. That's satisfying in a different way. There's no fair way to beat them, so might as well make their gaming experience suck as much as yours does

Sadly for you, it is to become a nurse or spirit main and eventually become good with them (Sadly cause u may not like those killers). Sky's the limit with these killers. Those two are the only ones that actually allow killers to outplay their opponents base upon their own skill.
If you are interested in learning nurse, I can give you some tips

This post.... not saying people are wrong because they are right. But that's the problem. Killers shouldn't be limited two one of two killers, especially when one isn't really viable on console. Also the term "nothing you can do about it" shouldn't be so frequent. Maybe that's what's upsetting killers.

Imagine thinking Spirit takes skill along with an ebony mori.

Actually, it does. Less than Nurse or Billy, but still, nobody could install dbd, qeue as Spirit and stomp a good team.
Don´t get me wrong I also think she´s overtuned. I play neither Nurse nor Spirit but to many people it´s nice to have Killers available that aren´t forced into the standard M1 play (hence losing to the good 4mans) and be strong.
Op, I suggest you check out the Legacy Survivor team. They can showcase good survivor play really well.

Spirit takes more skill than Survive with Friends.

Yup having a decent headset and hearing takes skill.

Yup, just installing a 3rd party voicechat program takes skill.

Yes it is sad that to actually compete at the high level you need to play those two. Hopefully mmr will fix this, it will provide actual data for the devs to properly buff low and mid tier killers to be a reliable option and not just depend on survivors making mistakes

Yup blame the people that want to talk and play with each other for not getting a 4K
