If crossplay can't be turned off...

Why is it still in the settings? It's irritating enough we PC players are forced to play with people on console if we don't want to.

Have you tried restarting the game in case you were playing while it was activated? That might resolve the issue. If you read here, you should be able to opt out of the crossplay feature: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/game-info
Also the option is greyed out if you are in "Play as a killer" or "Play as a survivor" screen. Go to the games main menu to change it.
