Is iri head still op without extra hatches?

I don't play huntress often and I only use iri head with a reload add on, is it still overpowered that way?

Also having only 1 hatchet makes you extra patient and precise. So in right hands it is still pretty op.

with only 1 hatchet is kind of balanced because you have only one chance you have to make it work. but still is indeed very strong unless you are g oing agaisnt very good loopers then is gonna be a nightmare only having one hatchet.

Honestly, I think that would be the best way to balance it. Treat it like Hags bodyblock addon. Make it trump all other addons.

Make Iri Head a true "One in the Chamber" mode.

It's balanced imo, if you miss you'll turn into the weakest killer until you reload.

Iri head without extra hatchets is a straight-up nerf. Even if you land every one, you cannot snowball.

It is not OP without extra hatchets, it is quite balanced honestly. I really hope the nerf it ends up getting just makes it to where you have 1 hatchet when running iri head no matter what secondary add on you use.

    Without extra hatchets=balanced

    With 3 hatchets=ridiculous

It's balanced because you can insta down, but you only get 1 chance and if you miss, you become the worst killer in the game, huntress without hatchets.

Personally I think it's not necessarily op (since I've seen many iri head Huntress get beat over the years) but the idea of making ONE correct read allowing you to down someone over windows/pallets/ridiculous distances itself is just plain broken. That idea itself doesn't change just because you limit yourself to 1 hatchet.

Just my opinion from a mechanical point of view.

Nah, it's stronk but tempered by scarcity. It's only broken with infantry belt.

imagine thinking a single instadown hatches is OP.

Almost every Huntress I've run into who ran iri head threw her hatchets from pretty much melee distance (kudos to those who actually didn't and still slaughtered me). 1 iri head hatchet is balanced in theory but still op in practice. I'd rather they had more hatchets (maybe 2/3?) but they only insta-downed you from above a certain range (it doesn't even have to be that big of a range tbh).

Not OP Just high risk high reward.

Iri head + extra hatchets is mediocre risk and high reward

That'd be the easiest way to fix Iri heads. Just force it to trump addons that increase hatchet count. 1 iri hatchet may still be a bit annoying to vs but it's definetly not brokenly strong so imao that would be fine fix. Better then reworking them into something useless.

Yeah I always said this could be a quick fix for it. I'd love for it to be based on range like deathslingers insta down addon. Like minimum 16-18 meters and you get maybe 2-3 hatchets instead but can use more hatchets.

If I'm being honest, I don't think Iri-head hatchets are that OP. But I also understand how to dodge & juke Huntress's hatchets quite well while other players might not. Literally all they need to do to fix iri-head is give a small distance requirement to the addon & change it so it only removes 3 hatchets instead of 4. A distance of greater than 10m or something to instadown a survivor I think would make it balanced for all ranks of players. But you couldn't just leave it at only giving Huntress one hatchet to work with if you add that downside. 2 hatchets would be fine at that point.

    No, it's not broken.

Having only one Hatchet really cuts back on the powerful snowball potential and chase power that makes Huntress strong.

Also, maybe I'm heretical here, but IMO the only thing whack with Huntress is latency randomly making it hard/impossible to dodge.

If we lived in a perfect world I don't think Iridescent Head plus Infantry Belt would be that nutty.

Obviously though, we don't live in a perfect world and people can get instadowned around corners by Iridescent Head, which can make facing it feel as fun as a kick in the stomach.

Also obviously, there's no real way to address the latency issue. It's just part of online gaming.

Either Huntress will be able to hit you from 10 feet away or Huntress will throw Hatchets through you and miss. Neither prospect is all that great IMO.

Whenever Survs saying IRIs are OP, they mean the combination with +2 Belts without even knowing.

So yes, i rather would go for no Addons then with just 1 IRI. But if they don't realize, you can have DCs even with only 1.
