Aren’t PC players supposed to be better?
I mean, the killers, they’re about the same as console killers.
But the survivors i think are a lot worse. I see a lot more just doing nothing, hiding. Since i’ve been on crossplay, gens have been notably slower.
And when ever i’m hooked i usually go to struggle cause a Yui decided it would be useful to finish a gen, then do a totem. Then look in the chest.
Keep in mind i had kindred.
So um, Console Master Race?

I mean, just today I died on my first hook because the three Console players did not bother to get me. One was looting a Chest, while the Claudette was self-caring in a Corner against Sloppy Butcher.
So its not really platform-specific, there are a lot of bad players on all Platforms and on both sides in high Ranks. Also, keep in mind that Rank Reset happened yesterday, and while it is not as drastic as it used to be, there are still some strange matches right after Rank Reset.

I don't think there is much difference at all, none that I've seen. But I will say that most people will not rush right to the hook among PC players. They use that time for generators usually. And get you later, to maximize gen rush.

The whole "which platform is better" topic is about technical stuff - mostly the frame rates.
You'll find people sitting in a corner everywhere.

I had a game yesterday where I looped a Legion for several minutes and none of my console teammates did a single gen because they were too busy Self Caring and doing totems or whatever. Should I take this as some sign that all console players suck? No.
There are boosted morons and god loopers on every platform. Hell, people on mobile have learned to play Nurse and get flashlight saves. I’ve played on both PS4 and PC and I really haven’t noticed a massive difference in the average player on either platform. People who make out like PC players are some godly gamers are just indulging in tribalism, most PC players suck as hard as anyone on console.

It could be the event challenges as well causing the terrible survivor playing. I play PS4 and noticed the same thing, other survivors from PC playing like butt. Also got wrecked by a PC Nurse main. PS4 Nurse is much harder to play so rarely do we see them but even when we do we're able to get a few gens done before they snowball us.
I'll give this cross-play some more time before i decide. First experience was the same as yours though, PC survivors were all potato.

Rank reset just happened. It's very easy to rank up as survivor in this game. Someone could have been carried to red ranks with a good swf. Rank doesn't reflect skill so much as time played during that month. Last, this game has no clear definition of what is good game play and what isn't. A killer might get 4k by face camping and think that's good. They aren't playing well they are getting newbie survivors who don't know what to do when that happens.

There is no platform that's better than another when it comes to skill, frames make certain killers easier to use on PC but that's about the gist of it , I've been going back and forth inviting friends from PS4 to PC and PC to PS4 trying to introduce some friends , I haven't tested the switch cross platform yet though I do have it, but either way the skill I notice is the same and some of these people claiming superiority and saying they're wrecking the others are facing bots or people with extremely bad frames

how can you tell they were PC? if your xbox for example switch and PS players both show up with the same globe icon

Damn, it's almost like in a game like DBD the platform you play on is not the main factor that influences your game skills
I mean, apart from the "PC nurses and huntresses" argument the only people claiming that PC players would have an unfair advantage were console players, while in reality it's all down to how each different person plays the game, indipendently from the platform they play on

From a tech standpoint, yes. From a skill standpoint? It's a hollow argument. Heck, in one match last night my killer faced three PC survivors and one with a globe next to their name. The one cross-platform survivor gave me the most trouble and even managed to escape. The three fellow PC players all died.

My experience has been the complete opposite lol
Every console killer I play against gets completely wrecked unless except for once or twice and the same goes for survivors when I play killer

The only superiority pc has over console is the performance aka framerates and for first person games/players the ability to be precise while also allowing rapid big movements like 180 instant turns which is insanely difficult to accomplish both with an analog stick.

They are about the same? THEY ARE ABOUT THE SAME? Woot? Those R5-1 killer from console i faced so far played like rank 20s.. all of them. And survivors from console, guess what, they are even worse!!! I tried to encourage other players to give Crossplay a chance, but this is just a nightmare for "competetive" players. HOW CAN YOU BE THAT BAD? AT purple or even red? Those last ~10 games with console players in my team were absolutly horrible, what are they actually doing the whole game? Do they even know anything else then Urban evasion while the killer is on the opposite site of the map? Have they ever heard about a very special concept of not going down within 10 seconds? MAYBE?
If i get another Xbox or PS4 Meg who is not looking behind while beeing chased, bumping into walls and dont know what to do the whole game, i might opt out aswell.
But hey tell us a little bit more about those fairy tails. The mysterious console players who are pretty good at the game. Unbelieveable.
Sorry for the rant, but when i see posts like this after having games i had, i can only shake my head.

I can say the opposite, red rank console players are complete garbage, the biggest potatoes i've seen
Those people are worse than rank 20 killers and survivors.

Overall PC players have the potential to be better but just because they can be doesn't mean they are.

I had 11 matches vs console survivors last night. They were all squash matches. The lowest rank was a rank 7, the rest were all red rank. I'm rank 2. Tell me again how console players are so good? Do I think all console players are like the 40 or so I saw last night? No. I hope there are much better ones. But these guys spent too much time running around doing nothing, trying to rely on 360s and having no clue how to mind game. Not like I was running strong killers either. I had Trapper and Pig for most of the night.

Other than better aim with those who need that (Huntress, Deathslinger, flashlights maybe), I haven't really noticed a difference in skill level exactly.
