The Clown's smoke causes me lag...

So I've been having several issues when I go against Clowns. It doesn't happen very often, so I might just be genuinely unlucky, but hear me out. Each time I face a clown and go into/get hit by his smoke, my game start lagging like crazy. I'm saying teleporting, game freezing, that kind of crazy. It happens every time without fail, and I was wondering if it ever happened to anyone else? Because frankly, this is not only unpleasant, but it literally prevents me from playing the game and it really ruins it for me.
I just want to know if there's someone out there who that happened to. If it's relevant, I play on PS4.
