I know it's not feasible but idea for a different game mode
Hardcore Mode
Only one of each survivor may be present in the trial and each survivor can only bring their teachable perks. The killer can only use their teachable perks as well.
No aura readings unless it's perk related (i.E BBQ, bond, empathy, bitter murmur).
At the start of the trial, each survivor can only bring one item and no duplicates allowed.
Before the trial, both sides vote on a map from a 3 choice selection.
I'm sure there's other caveats I could add but like I said, it's just a fun idea. I know it couldn't happen due to certain killer and survivor having very strong teachables but still, it could be fun. Maybe I'll try it in a custom game one day as a makeshift tournament.

Letting survivors pick the map seems a bit unfair. Nobody will ever want to go to a killer sided map.

I wouldn't really think this is a good idea since this will divide the player base a bit by different gamemodes. Also you can already use only teachables if you really want to. Some perks will also won't work properly or be too op due to the changes you suggested along with some characters having really bad teachable perks. Besides that, there's no mither which is hard mode.
