Well DC's ARE not rampant?
You'll see one DC every 100 or so matches? or none for 100's and only one?????
These are all things that were said about the dc's and why the penalties shouldn't be put back when they are fixed well in one match i had 3. here it is.
three dcs.... and they were console players! I don't care i lost my medkit.... why? i've got 40. i put it on for the lols because it ended up being 4 clauds and we were a pair of claudette pairs lol... looked exactly the same too between the pairs, it was GREAT! but the dcs just go to show you that you can't have fun and dc penalties are needed. and in the last 10 matches i've had 1 dc at a minimum in 6 of those matches. that's 60%. At this point I'd say go ahead, kill the game functionality of "leave match" and let people pull their ethernet cord and have to relog back on. make dc penalties 10 minutes for the first one 20 for the second, 60 for the third. what the hell why not... abuse it and the heavy ban hammer comes down hard and fast.

I’m positive that if the devs can patch the exploit hackers were using to trick the game into banning other players that they will bring back the currently deactivated DC bans. Nobody enjoys playing with ragequitters.

I'm just gonna go ahead and point out that 4 of the same character doesn't seem like a good time for any killer

This, I just don’t think it’s a top priority sadly. As survivor I’ve just accepted that basically every game will be 3 vs 1 because someone quits if they get found first...
As killer I won’t bring good addons because it’s a waste when the survivors DC. And I’m not talking about Iri hatchets or anything, I just don’t feel like wasting my purple extra trap or extra bottle addons.

Yeah, I agree it sucks.
But at the same time who wants to play against sweaty mori spirit?
Even I, who have mained spirit this she came out wont play her unless I'm sure it is a 4man I'm vs. She is pretty strong.
0 -
I dont agree with this but can understand why everyone quit
Its an ######### spirit with mori it make sense why everyone rage quit
1 -
Like the other people said, it's a temporary headache. The devs know it's a big issue

The killer doesn't owe you an escape just because your team DC'd. MORI or otherwise.
1 -
Still a scumbag for killing them after 3 DC's.
0 -
Why is the killer a scumbag? With 3 DCs his only change for decent points and to try preventing depipping is at least hooking someone. Tell me why the killer doesn’t deserve a chance to get points and a kill but the survivor deserves an escape?
It amazes me that people still blame the killer in this situation instead of their three teammates
2 -
How do you know everyone hadn't been hooked twice that game? I've had people DC at all points in the game I never understand the play the whole game to dc on last hook play but it happens, do I still owe everyone else an escape in that scenario?
Basically there is an absence of facts here and in the absence of facts humans make up their own narrative in line with their emotional opinions. It is the basis for conspiracy theories and religion. If you are unhappy when you get mori'd its natural to attribute scummy play on behalf of the killer based on the picture alone, when in reality you have no idea so should save judgement.
Jumping to misconceptions helps no one.

exactly 👍️

actually i was mori'd AFTER the first dc. then the other dc'd right after my mori and while i was reporting the dc's the third dc'd. I don't care i was mori'd after first hook, I got a safe unhook and a protection hit with it (borrowed time yes...) and only needed 4... lol my next match i had two dc's a tunneled kill and I got out via hatch. lol
you are correct. I was the second out of the match, two dc's happened shortly after my mori. :)
1 -
Can you explain to me why? I for one have no idea if the dc´ed at the start of the game, on the first down, or just on the deathhook. IF they all dc´ed on the death hook, wouldn´t it be fair to kill the last one?
2 -
fair point, i wasn't mad about the mori it's the DC's I'm more upset about.. I love getting cool mori's and it was a spirit so that's a good mori! but one was before I was mori'd the other two after (one as I was being mori'd and one shortly after). still the DC's are the pitas.... if i get out I get out, if i don't I hope I die well! :)

Yeah, and it's still a scummy play sorry I'm not gonna defend players like that🤷♂️

OK if you feel that way, but can you see that this mentality is a problem. Half the toxicity in this game comes from people applying an arbitrary standard of play to others. Then you add on the mindset that anyone who doesn't match that standard of play is a scumbag.
Basically you have a single piece of info that in no way explains when the mori was used or why. Its part of the game and its use is legitimate but you'll call someone a scumbag for playing it.
Also my point doesn't defend its use, it calls out the uniformed judgement made by just looking at one picture.
Once again the onus is on the killer to justify their play while the real culprits here are the DC'ing survivors. You don't know when they DC'd or why "but the killer used a mori so they must be a scumbag". Its a very uninformed and narrow minded way to look at things. Shrugging your shoulders won't change that.

That statement was made prior to cross-play tho. And considering the situation that cross-play lets into a lot of games, pretty much ruining everything they learned so far, I dont really blame them.
For years, they learned that 360's are reliable, for years they had to deal with killers who are objectively much worse than PC killers simply because of some issues that consoles bring. And now they are being thrown in the deep.
Let alone that lower ranks are the type of survivors that almost only care about the fun factor. The higher rank you look, the less the DC's become. Which is probably why that statement of 1 in 100 isnt realistic after cross-play, but its still low enough to barely have an impact on players who very actively play the game, and realistically shouldnt impact players who very casually play the game. Give cross-players some time before you start shitting on the amounts of DC's. Its only been a few days and they still have to relearn many things about the game, and its extremely frustrating to put everything you've learned to be essentially useless.

Just played 3 in a row AS FREDDY with no DCs. Excuse me, I have a powerball ticket to buy.

Eh, killers used a mori instantly after a DC, which already cripples survivors without a DC. Sure, the first DC was a douchebag, but hearing the full situation, the killer was tryharding hard after the first DC. The remaining 2 dc'd because of the Mori and their inability to do anything and depipping anyway. The killer could have lengthened the match significantly by holding onto his Mori for slightly longer, while gaining more points. Let alone that survivors have no clue if it was an ebony or ivory mori, and considering ebony's are 10x less rare than ivory's, the ebony assumption is much more correct.
Its funny how people assume the worst on both sides, killer mains think the DC's happened at roughly the same time while survivors assume the DC'd were because they assume the killer tunneled and mori'd the first survivor. Which, again, with Ebony Mori existing, makes the game generally predictable, let alone that console players still have to adjust to pc tactics much more than pc has to adjust to console tactics.

You can play however you want, but scummy plays are scummy plays.

This embodies the very point I'm making. Its not inherently scummy, you only think it is because you are unable to attribute anything but malicious intent to the action. The survivors DC'ing may not have been scummy either we don't know, but generally there isn't a lot of reason to DC as a survivor purely because you can just suicide on hook and still get some BP's.
I see you don't understand the point I'm making, so I guess just think what you will. Sadly we will see more rage quits, accusations of scummy play and general toxicity until the community stop trying to project their emotional fragility onto the other side and just play the game.
After all its only a game.

Idk where you're getting all that from. I only called a killer scummy.
0 -
And that was unnecessary and unjustified. Which is my point.

The statement was made within the past 4 days. not specifically that as I made it up but the idea of what I said was said on the many dc posts here. I'm low rank and I like to have fun in a GAME. it's not a job for me. I have argued against dc'ing for any reason for ages and get flamed for it here. I don't give a damn though, I'm going to speak my mind on the topic. still it is unfair in your characterization because i play for the fun of it, for the challenge of it, for the points. I stated before the cross play that dc's were not even close to what i said, they were higher! and NO I WILL NOT excuse crappy decisions because they got thrown into a new world of games. I'll excuse poor game play but not violating the RULES. I could have put up a pic with their names on it but i deleted it and put this one up because it is the rule of the forum to not attempt to account shame people. I even marked out MY name and the KILLER's!!!! The statement that 1 in 100 dc is incorrect it is much more than that even before cross play. sugar coat it how ever you like, a disconnect is a disconnect, a violation of the game rules, reportable AND a violation of the EULA. and a big waste of time for people as they can't get things done because of cheating in the game (yes it's cheating or exploiting might be a better word though)!

again assuming? do i have to record that match to show you when the dc's happened? I wasn't even hooked by the time the first dc happened, I was hooked later, unhooked, and then worked a gen another was hooked, I got chased, and killer lost me. Other two people were hooked, one in second stage, one in first stage. Now I ran, unhooked one, then the other, got the protection hit and safe unhook for challenge as killer downed the other they came upon first. then they went downed the one i unhooked, came back, mori'd me and the other two dc'd. WEEEEE STOP assuming things. You will be wrong 99.9% of the time! lol.

Spirit with a mori probably sweating their balls off ######### it I'd DC too
0 -
Very true.... my post here was about the DC's and quickly people were saying i was mori'd after the dc's without asking more information! lol I didn't feel that was necessary because i honestly didn't care i got mori'd, and I actually enjoyed getting mori'd in that match because it was spirit's mori! I might think first hook mori isn't the best but meh it's part of the game. the real problem is the dc's, it's rampant!

Classic... killers a douche for killing... sigh. The teenagers that play this game amaze me.
1 -
The amount of people justifying the DC in here is shocking. Grow up or don't play the game.
You wouldn't join a team to play street basketball and just suddenly walk away when you didn't feel like playing anymore. You finish the game, then you quit after either team ends it.
Not that this game is perfect or anything but seriously why even queue up if you're just going to quit?
1 -
it doesnt matter what people say, once the exploit has been fixed the penality system will return.
1 -
Are you kidding me dude. You can play spirit in red ranks without perks . Pop bbq ruin sloppy and a green mori is a 5 min 4k 5 gens left game.
0 -
I understand that perspective.
However, when dealing with equal competition, the spirit provides a big advantage.
He was facing fair competition, as such he was in a very strong position with this killer and the mori. It wasn't like he was facing a 4 man red rank swf.
I get playing strong, but I also get not enjoying versing perhaps the strongest killer in the game with a mori.
0 -
Yeah it kinda says something that folks fixate on the fact that you got mori'd rather than 3 DC's. I
1 -
honestly I read this killer as someone who played the game, hadn't gotten very far up but is still very new. A green mori, if the first guy didn't dc on his FIRST DOWN, and then the other two because they got downed quickly after being unhooked things would have been different.. we were at 2 gens done and then it went to hell because two people were on the hook and I was already injured.

did you post prematurely? You know there are treatments for Premature Posting... PPS (Premature Posting Syndrome) is a very common but dangerous condition to many forum posters, you are urged to get treatment from your local Store that sells MEAD!
