Xbox toxicity

So I play on Xbox, and I've noticed alot of console players dislike cross play. I don't know why tho. My most toxic matches were befory. I'd also get some really ######### up messages and constant spam from survivors. Now with cross play when majority of survivors I've been playing against have been on other devices and it's the one or two Xbox players that would be acting toxic or sending me ######### up messages. I'm starting to feel alot of toxicity is from fellow Xbox players. Idk just had a thought and wanted to see what others think or if they've experienced similar things

One of the reasons I left DbD on Xbox for PS4. I played on there for a year and finally left because good god, the children that play this game on there. I got so many messages that are downright disgusting and I wouldn't say it to my worst enemy. I feel like because it's on the Game Pass it's attracting the worst possible kind of players to the game since what do they lose by playing and getting to bully someone across the internet. But, it is the internet so what can you do these days?

Yeah it's pretty bad on Xbox.

I sold mine and dbd along with it because of the toxicity.

I've got a switch and animal crossing now. I'm done with dbd.

I still like to watch streamers play, and to read the forums to remind me why I ditched this game.

You still get messages from xbox players because PC, PS4, and Switch players can't message you. PC players usually talk smack in endgame chat which you can't even see. Xbox does tend to have more children and teens, who think it is cool to run off at the mouth and are very bad at losing but there are toxic players on all platforms.

I actually do not encounter many toxic players. I send them GG after the match, and most are pretty chill. You get a super toxic one every once in a while, but not too often. I have heard from one of my PS4 buddies that it can be quite toxic over there, and we all know about the PC post-match chat.

So basically, doesn't really matter what platform you are on, toxic people will be toxic. Just gotta ignore them and move on.

I have a theory that most of the DBD toxicity comes from teen edgelords who think they're amazing and never at fault for anything.

Couldn't agree more honestly. Seems to be 'cool' for the current generation, you have to be the most vile human being on the planet on the internet.Man I miss the old days when people were legit nice!
