Hot take: pop and ds should be basekit

2 perks that are basically required to play as killer and survivor should be basekit inclusions even if they are dulled down versions.

If it's the fixed version of DS and PGTW tuned down on 30 secs with 10% regreasion, why not?

I dont think Pop or DS are required to play properly. As survivor I can do just fine without DS, I haven't used it since I got my adept as Laurie. Same with Pop, I am not trying to say pop is not an excelent perk, but with time it feels more like training wheels than anything, there are some other builds you can try that work better for gen regression than just slapping pop on your killer.

For me at least everytime I don't run ds no obsession, and everytime I run ruin gone after 5 min. I think a toned down version of both would be good basekit additions just so you don't get immediately tunneled out of the game, and have gen kicks that are not useless without a perk.

DS is only necessary if you're you are genuinely awful at the game and/or like to pretend that the killer touching you whilst it's active is "tunelling."

Gen regression/control of some kind is absolutely necessary as killer, but basekit pop is just lazy. A trial warmup of some kind, as suggested by Otzdarva and Scott Jund, would be the better way to go.

I'm very tempted to say yes because then i can think of a new Perk, my build's pretty stale now.

But then i remind myself i'd see DS every single match, which i don't normally, so i'll say no.

I don't care if it's balanced btw, i just dislike being stunned with a passion in every game ever.

So if it were so, the survivors will stay in hiding and will not make gens until the corrupt intervention is over.

If anything is base kit, I'd say:

    Kindred for Survivors

    Corrupt Intervention for killers.

I think solo que should have Kindred, small game and either Sole Survivor or perhaps an increased number of chests dedicated to having healer kits - first aid chest?

Contrary to popular belief you don't need DS to play survivor. Your side controls the flow of the match. Gen slow down perks however are damn near mandatory on most killers who lack map pressure.

This is actually a really great idea. Corrupt could be reworked, and moving the effect to base-kit would be pretty balanced if it only affected one or two generators. I think three or four generators would not be very much fun for survivor sides, but it would give the killer a chance in the beginning when they desperately need it the most.

DS should be heavily nerfed and left as a perk. Interacting with objects cancels it, it lasts about 20 seconds OR only one person could run it as is. I'm tired of eating two or three DS' in the mid game because everyone drops like flies and gets rewarded for it. It's always been the single most demoralizing aspect of playing killer.

This is extremely true. I love playing Myers and Ghostie but the only way to play them is through strict control since they have no mobility compared to Billy or Freddy or Gordón. Myers is decent if you're playing a basement build but you're at the whim of the map. If I don't have pop, dying light, thanatophobia, and overcharge on my Ghostie the game is over in like five minutes and I never get to set up for my ability. It's ridiculous.

Yeah, thats however much time for a killer to find a survivor.

I think all perks should be base kit. Boom. Discuss!

what about built in kindred instead since everyone doesnt like the ds idea?

Kindred should be basekit. I disagree with DS. DS, much like NOED, is a crutch perk. Both teach you bad habits.

Neither teaches bad habits. Some use DS in a super predictable way. Most killers who bring NOED you can tell early in the match based on what perks they have and they’re playstyle
