So, because he's rank 1 he can't have an opinion of the game's balance? I'm rank 1 in both survivor and killer and I can tell you there are issues with balance that are glaring. And I'm not the only player with that opinion.

I don't have all the details for that Freddy's game. You said 3 survivors died and one got out of the exit gate. My best guess is that he felt robbed of a 4k for doing so well. Perhaps they closed the hatch and the last person was across the map, waiting to open the exit gate as soon the EGC started and they got out. If that's the scenario, I can empathized. I've been there and it was beyond his control. He may have did everything right and got cucked at the end. But yeah, that's just a guess. I got no idea how that match really played out or what points he was trying to make in the end game chat.

I didn’t say he can’t have an opinion but l wonder in all the 4k games he has had in his rank 1 journey, how many of them did he rant about balance in chat

From my experience killers don’t tend to rant about balance when they 4k, just as survivors don’t rant about balance when all 4 of them escape without being hooked.

Pips aren’t an indicator of winning or losing an individual match, they’re an estimate by the game of your overall skill for purposes of matchmaking. But if you are competitive then you are focussed on actually winning each and every match, not on an artificial system that evaluates you relative skill for future matches. And the only objective indicators of whether or not you won a match are the kill counts and endgame scores.

Also people who care about winning matches and who play frequently will get to red ranks. The only requirement to get to red rank is winning more often than you lose and playing enough games, and if you play for kills and scores your rank will naturally increase if you are winning on those criteria. You don’t need to pay attention to rank to go up in it, it happens on its own as you play.

Tbf unless almost every red rank killer you meet act like that then thats not really close to a fair representation.

This sounds just as silly as when a killer player makes a thread going "Wow I just played vs the sweatiest most disgusting 4man SWF team. I didnt get a single kill. Its impossible to win. 100% survivor sided game. Why are red rank survivors all so sweaty."

Thats not a fair representation either. You meet some sweats but good sports, some that wanna farm, some cool/meme that wanna only have fun and some that wont care whether they win or lose they just wanna complain. You will probably meet many more achetypes, but what you cant say is "I only meet these people". If thats all I ever met I would have left this game a long time ago.

Where in my statement does it say all red rank killers are like this?

    there is a question only

While you never directly said "all" you never specificed the amount either. You could have said "Why are some of you like this?" or "Why do killers act like this sometimes". Whereas the statements you used have different implications in most peoples minds.

"Red rank mentality" was your title, and it implies that this is a mentality that either only happens in red ranks, or all red ranks have this mentality. Both are incorrect in my opinion and from my experience.

"What is it with you guys" and "you play so sweaty" again implies exclusively red ranks and in this case red rank killers. Which again is wrong, you will meet tons of people playing sweaty althrough rankings some just cant play that well but they will still try their best to win.

"So for red rank killers its 4k or bust?" This one implies that all red rank killers has the mentality that if they dont get 4ks its a lost game.

So I read your post as it was written and disagreed. Im merely stating that you should consider using more detailed language instead of broad/vague terms if you dont wanna be misunderstood. And that last bit seems a lot more like a statement than a question.

I hope to be a Red Rank Killer one day, and if I make it... I'll tell you my mentality. I suspect it will be the same as now. I play hard to win, and expect the Survivors to do the same. I don't begrudge them their Perks and whatever Add-on they chose. I am not salty at the end of a match, and I play till the bitter end. I'm not mad at the Survivors or the Game when I fail to get a 4K. That is on me baby.
