Console SWF seem really chill
Is it just me?
Every time I go against console rainbow ranks (so I’m assuming they’re SWF here, but it seems sort of obvious they are), they’re really fun, chill and non-toxic. I’ve never seen any of them with mega sweat builds really, the odd small pp but since I don’t tunnel a lot they don’t get to use it. I did have one console SWF that teabagged me at the gate but whatever, it’s just teabagging lol.
I’m not a particularly competitive player, I enjoy winning but I usually run off-meta perks and killers and try to play in a way that’s fun for everyone. I’ll happily meme with people and let the last guy go and console survivors seem happy to go with it and play along.
Just a fun observation I noticed and wondered if it was just me! Maybe it’s just the lack of post-game chat making people seem more wholesome.

It's the lack of post game chat 100%

You havent played console enough friend. It gets really bad out there. I have a folder full of toxic messages as well

I already faced a toxic 4 swf ps4 group. But I was better in the end :)
Otherwise yes. Playing against/with console is much more enjoyable.

I used to play on PS4 but it’s been a while since I switched to PC. Every time I’ve hopped on there in recent months I never got any hateful messages but I definitely did when I used to play console exclusively.

Maybe that makes the match feel more casual (?

I do think it contributes. Even if the survivors are raging about how I played or telling each other I’m a terrible baby killer, I have no idea, so it feels like a relaxing game however it ends.

I can only speak for myself but I see a lot of other PC players saying the same thing. Most of the console survivors I go against, SWF or solo tend to play way more stealthy and less aggressive than most PC players are used to. So I think that add to the feeling of being more laid back and chill.
In reality this drives me up the wall though, I hate playing hide and seek and would rather play and actual game than a 10 minute hide n seek when its down to the last two blendettes on Midwich when neither are working on gens just waiting for the other to die to try and get hatch.

It’s dangerous in these console streets. Don’t let your guard down lol

Console gamers are super casual sitting on the couch without headphones etc.
PC gamers are in front of the monitor sweating their butts off 😳

I've legit been sweating due to this stupid Cali heatwave

I’m on PC and I haven’t been sweating :( unless you count today’s weather, it’s really hot here right now.

Console isn't that bad. I have 5 nice messages and ggs for every salty complaint, and even the salty complaints are resolved cordially.

I haven't noticed a difference in survivor behavior with crossplay.

Yeah, I have headphones because they are such a life saver and you can't use party chat without them.
But it is way more casual. Most console gamers have the mindset of "it's just a game." and I also tend to take things slowly and more deliberate because of how slow something like turning is.
That being said, I still feed off the energy of the other players. Had a Ghostface last night who tried to tunnel me early, so I ran like there was no tomorrow, bodyblocked a Myers halfway across the Asylum to prevent him tunnelling a friend in the endgame and ran a Wraith in all of ECG to avoid being hit to spite him.

Console players seem way more eager to do the crouchy-crouchy-clicky-clicky after they perform any action at all, which is kind of weird. Other than that, they're really bad at 360s and don't look behind themselves very often.
I do notice they tend to run DS/unbreakable more often, but not so often that it's rampant or anything.

PS4: I use to get hateful messages until i quit playing the killer ha ha,even blocked messages. But i do agree that most console players tend to be more chilled. Can't wait to try out some cross play just little worried since PC users usually have advantage in most games with better software and mouse and keyboard. Just hopefully they add an option to be selective on what platform you play against.

Flashlights are obnoxious to use on Xbox for me, and there seems to be quite a few tunnellers and sluggers. Call them "necessary evils" at this point.

The nice thing about crossplay is that you can try it out, and if it’s not your cup of tea you can just disable it. Can’t guarantee it 100% but I’ve heard that disabling it doesn’t have a huge impact on queue times, and when I tried turning it off myself it didn’t seem to make too much difference. So it seems like there’s a healthy pool of people who have it off as well as on, which is good for everyone. :)

I haven’t really noticed that myself! I got teabagged by one team for no real reason, but other than that I don’t think anyone has clicked or bagged at all. Those things don’t really bother me to be fair, I’ve grown numb to teabags, pointing and clicking after two years of DBD, but I feel like it’s less common these days than it used to be.

Oh it doesn't bother me per se, in fact I think teabagging from really far away is actually really funny because the survivor looks so tiny that it becomes comical, but I just noticed that if they like drop a pallet they'll do a few teabags for some reason. Dunno why. Maybe to just say "ha ha!"?

PS4 player here, its only since cross play that I've started using DS and unbreakable etc. Used to love running meme builds but I must say PC killers love to sweat, theres alot of camping and tunnelling at red ranks and just general toxicity (lol I always used to think DBD was toxic, but cross play somehow brought it to a new level, game was never this sweaty and toxic with just PS4 players) so I am forced to play like this. I'm not giving up on cross play tho just gonna adapt I guess

Yeah, noticed that to. I have been getting non stop hella aggressive killers. One Plague slugged for the whole match yesterday and they all DCéd once she finally downed me. I was honestly laughing at the DC sounds but holy ######### that Plague was a pain in the ass. XD

"PC killers love to win" I think is what you meant. Forgive us for dealing with multiple second chance perks per survivor in every single game in red ranks.
I wish we could all run more meme and fun builds as killer or survivor, but as you see, the moment you don't try to win you just get obliterated.
I constantly run my trolly meme slug build as survivor, Unbreakable, Flip-Flop, Soul Guard and Tenacity just for that one time that it works out. Unfortunately 99% of the time it doesnt work and the killer doesn't even slug me lol. But when it does work its totally worth it.

Swap out the soul guard for Resilience and thats the build Ive been using on my Jeff the past few days

meh, I'm finding the complete opposite to be true, PC players that as soon as their spine chills lights up just hide and/or run directly to Narnia.

Excuse me?
Xbox lobbies are certainly not that

I didn't read the whole post, but matchmaking is terrible rn so there is the possiblity they are not a swf group.
