What If The Entity Was A Killer?
Someone dared me, so here I am, working on this in the middle of the ######### night lmao. So if theres anything stupid or a spelling error or something you know why.
Killer: The Entity
You've spent long enough watching, its time to show these worms true fear.
TR:32
Height: Tall
Move Speed: 115%
Power 1: Complete Control
Every 30 seconds you can place a wall that lasts for 10 seconds, this can block dropped pallets, vaults, generators, chests. Anything but the hatch or exit gate. Good knowledge can lead to you completely disrupting a loop.
Power 2: Feeding
Each survivor will have a "Hope" meter, this will slowly rise and fall as the match progresses. it will rise when anything good for the survivors happen (Unhooking, Healing, Gens being done, ect.), it will fall when anything bad for the survivors happen (Someone gets downed, hooked, injured, a gen gets kicked, ect.) The lower the survivors hope the more they get debuffed. The debuffs are stuff like being exhausted longer, slower action speed, stuff like that. When a survivors hope meter drains completely, they will be "Consumed", its essentially just a mori.
The Catch
This is The Entity we're talking about here, so they need to have something special. Unlike every other killer, the entity can not be unlocked and played at any time. Instead an offering called "The Black Straw" will appear once a week in a bloodweb. Consuming the offering will allow you to play as the Entity. This means matches against the Entity are rare and exciting.
Perks
The unlocking system is a little different for the Entity, Teachables will spawn once you get a certain amount of wins with him. 1/2/3. Since you can only play him once a week.
Misty Malice: All injured and downed survivors will have they're screen clouded with fog. The fog will be thicker depending on the level. (I don't have specifics because my brain is so tired its also covered by fog)
Crippling Fear: Any screams the survivor makes will slow them 3/5/10% for 3 seconds.
My Realm: Upon completing a generator. The next 32 meters will be clouded by fog the entity can see through easily but survivors cannot for 5/10/15 seconds.
Let me know what yall think, I'll read it tomorrow. I will currently be occupied with throwing up and passing out.
Edit: This is my last thing for the night. I upped the cooldown on complete control and gave it a lengthy startup.
Edit 2: I reworked Complete Control into a wall placing ability at the request of Chrome Skull.

I Like The Concept, But Not The Execution
Seems pretty cool, though a bit OP, but hey, you said it would be very rare.

The entity
Power - I am the master
Have the entire view of the map, you can just tap a survivor and kill them like when endgame time runs out.
Perk 1 - I am op - You can control anything you want, you can tap everything to block them forever.
Perk 2 - Map balanced = If you get into some good survivor map like cornfield you can just change the map into hawkins lab.
Perk 3 - Wallhack - You can see all survivors' auras
The entiTY IS OP, the entiTY IS BAD

why this isn't basekit for every killer? this would balance the game completely!

Sounds Great!
It would be the last chapter on dbd, like a final boss

Maybe he can place walls around the map by like tokens or something and can block off vaults/pallets/ and generator by placing a wall on said item.

Hows it now?

Basically this.
There is no reason to have the mastermind behind it all, actually be playable. That completely ruins the story and lore they've been setting up over the past 4 years.
If anything, if they ever did this, it would be as their very LAST chapter. Like, when DBD is finally on the decline and they no longer want or cannot feasibly continue to support the game. They make one final chapter, one final archives, tying loose ends and wrapping up the story as best as possible as one final hurrah and great finale to send off the game to be shelved in history (although they'd probably keep the servers running as long as they could). That is the only time this would ever work, and in every other case this would be a flat out bad idea, at the very very least from a story perspective. Which doesn't matter to everyone, but it does matter to a decent chunk of the playerbase myself included, and it certainly matters to the developers themselves.
And I can assure you, considering that they're investing time and money into a graphic overhaul and it is confirmed they are getting the game on next gen. consoles like PS5 and Xbox series X, that time isn't coming anytime soon.

So is the only problem the lore? And not a problem with the powers?

I didn't actually take too much time to think about the power you provided, I think the story problem itself presents a big enough issue to disregard the idea entirely even without consideration to the power. EDIT: Meaning, it doesn't matter what power you give the Entity even if its a good one, it's not a good idea, for reasons previously mentioned.
However,
Just looking at the power itself it doesn't look to be a very fun or unique concept. The entity itself looks like an M1 killer who can create a wall every 30 seconds, and it's not like as a survivor there's much counterplay to that it's either you run around any walls placed (which makes The Entity a pure M1 killer if you keep misplacing walls) or you get ######### over by a properly placed wall and there's not much a survivor can do about that.
Power 2 is just as bad if not worse because it's a passive ability, and as history has pointed out - previous examples such as Pre-rework Freddy or Pre Rework Doctor, passive is not fun. (Although there are still some lingering examples of killers with passive abilities or passive aspects to their abilities, these in my opinion require reworks just like the aforementioned killers [cough PLAGUE cough])
Don't mean to be a negative nancy and just crap all over the idea, but it is what it is, I'm just being honest.

Its fine, You make many a fair point. I got dared to make a concept based on The Entity and wanted to give the ability to control the map and represent the hope aspect of its lore. I can definitely see why it wouldn't work.

Lol I see, understandable.

I just don't really like the idea of the entity snagging kills for themselves, it seems odd. The wall placing and hope meter are cool ideas though, if tied to something else then I'd be down.
