Really. I had a match earlier as trapper I placed one trap and found my first survivor and 2 gens popped.

Make certain gens where you need to fill it up with gas. Not all, just a couple. So like on an rng base

Do you run Corrupt Intervention? And why do you only place one Trap at the start of the game?

I think the devs are working on something to slow the early game. In the meantime I'd recommend running corrupt.

We have been talking about a 2nd objective for ages. I made a thread where I suggested filling gens with gas back in May 2019 (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/65083/concept-for-a-2nd-objective-for-survivors/p1 ), others had similar ideas. I know you don't want to fill all gens with gas, but the basic idea is the same. Nothing has happened in all this time and I don't expect anything to happen anymore.

2 minutes is a lot of time. Especially if you play a setup killer like Trapper. Combine that with another slowdown perk like Pop and your in a pretty good spot.

That is not genrush, that is survivors doing gens. Genrush is, when survivor have the "gens over friends" mentality. So they let people die on the hook just to rush gens, even they would be able to safe.
What to do against fast gens:
My method would be that survivors have to learn how to do generators. They start with 50% repair speed and gain +1% per second. So the first gens will take much more time to complete. To make it fair, survivors will be able to repair up to 110% or even 120% eventually.

I’ll start it by saying gen rush is over used 99.9% of the time you are not being gen rushed
Like if you are chasing someone what else should the survivors do? Just sit around for 30-60 seconds doing nothing?
What they could do though to make things a bit more fair is spawn all survivors together and a good distance away from the closest gen so you don’t at the start of the game have to push people off 4 different gens at the start and they have to patrol just as much as you

I mean, you have a Killer who requires Setup to be played efficiently. And you dont do Setup. The outcome should be expected.
Honestly, you cant play Trapper and have the Mindset that you will have 5 Gens up after 2 Minutes. When I play Trapper, I know that 2 or even 3 Gens are done before I have my first Hook, simply because I spend most of my Corrupt Intervention setting Traps. However, once I am done with that, I can apply pressure.
On the other hand, if I play Spirit and 2 or 3 Gens get done before I get my first Hook, I clearly messed up.

That's because Trapper wastes time setting traps and not applying pressure to gens. Plus Trapper kinda sucks in general.

funny people say gerushing not a thing it is for most killers 3 or 4 of them not so much.why we have all these killer if most can't handle a match.

I agree. I would prefer to run around and fetch gas for gens with the risk of running into/getting found by the killer (and decrease gen time a bit), instead of sitting at a gen the majority of the match.

So what else were they supposed to do while you placed your trap? Let you place more? Go find you?

The thing that makes laugh the most is the challenge win a trial with 5 gens still remaining. This challenge is full on impossible as by time you find a survivor and they use there pathetic loops at least 2 gens have popped. It's unbelievable this game. Friday the 13th although buggy at least you have equal chance on both sides to come out on top. Dbd it's always gonna be a survivor win. Because:
- Ruin is destroyed (bring the last ruin back as that actually prevented gen rush)
- Pallet loops exist too much
- Flashlights exist too much
- Tool boxes exist and although nerfed can still repair gens effectively
- Adrenaline exists
- Keys exist

The point is on the 2 minutes it takes to place one trap down and find your first survivor 2 gens pop (it's way too fast). You must be a survivor main for this comment

Why should the killer playerbase only be able to play nurse, Billy and spirit effectively. Out of a roster of 16 soon to be 17 killers.

Don't even think about using trapper if you don't want to be genrushed, you lose a lot of time if you set traps at the beginning of the game

I am but yes 2 minute is enough to pop 2 gens it is 80 seconds solo. I also dont understand how me being a survivor main is relevant. Why do you think the survivors shouldn't do gens while you are doing something other than pressuring them.
If gens are made longer which you are implying the game will become even more boring for the survivor side which some fo you killers are ok with despite needing 4 times survivors per killer.

1. Make all killers viable
2. Give survivor's more objectives
These are just my ideas and I how I feel, but these have major problems
1. Killers will be too powerful
2. Solo survivor's will get the ######### end of the stick

If people all spread out on different gens and are competent, there is nothing you can do. Corrupt Intervention is the only thing that gives you even a very brief gasp of air and if they all just hide it does nothing at all but waste everyone's time.
I watched a Fungoose video two days ago where he was in a 2-man SWF and the rest were randoms and they had 3 gens done in under 2 minutes vs a Legion, this was a rank 1 game, and he looped/spun/deadharded the Legion about half of that time til the dude gave up. I felt bad for the Killer that whole game, and it was a short one.
How do you balance this? I don't think you can. Most killers are weak and need buffs, this is probably the best place to start. Also, everyone not in an SWF should be getting 100%+ BP gains for every man in the SWF they're against (including solo queues used as filler) at the very least.

Even though gen rushing is pretty much impossible now...a trial warmup would fix what little rushing there is and also help with balancing weaker killers.

Mate you lot need more objectives other than pop 5 gens and disappear, playing survivor takes no skill whatsoever a bloody monkey could play and win as survivor. Did you lot not notice that when ruin was destroyed half the killer playerbase left. Because it was unnecessary.
- Bring old ruin back
- Make totem spawns a lot more harder
- don't put keys in basement chest every match
- nerf flashlights
- make it so you can only find hatch after all gens are done no matter how many survivors remain.
- kill adrenaline, dead hard etc
- delete half the pallets
- remove half the loops (which by the way they didn't fix god loops a couple of patches ago they merely made them worse)

Killers don't need to be op just a lot more balanced than now. Survivors are highly op and need massive nerfs

the biggest reason solo survivor sucks is ######### teammates. This means that the problem of solo survivor is matchmaking. Maybe a small buff is to make a small text tool where you can use pre build texts like: killer is near me.
Making every killer viable is a great start. If there is still a gen problem then a second objective.

Thats not genrush. Thats a poor early game, which trapper tends to have due to having low map pressure. You can correct that with Corrupt, or you can opt to base your playstyle around in, setting traps in an specific area with 4 or 3 generators very close together, start setting up and wait until they come there. Then they are easy prey.

Right that's why the devs nerfed Billy...because killers are in a weak spot and survivors are massively over performing.

If you find pallet loops on most maps too much, then I think you just need to try and improve more with killers to counter loops or at least get pallets dropped as fast as possible. There are definitely still some maps with far too many safe pallets, but in general maps have gotten much fairer when it comes to loops and tile distribution.
Also flash lights aren't too powerful anymore, they can be good for flashlight saves but killers have more than enough counterplay against those saves. Toolboxes also aren't a problem anymore and Adrenaline means the survivor only played the match with three perks up until Adrenaline procs.

Adrenaline is a better NOED, and all you hear are screams for NOED nerfs. The only reasonable counter play for flashlights is Franklin's (yea I'm aware of Lightborn) getting locked in to an animation when you pick someone up ######### sucks and just incentivizes slugging even more. Toolboxes are pretty weak unless you're going for sabotage, considering how fast gens get done, they don't need to be stronger and can still finish a gen in a clutch.

Honestly, what if they buffed Totems a bit? Made it so even dull totems did something for the killer?
Like say... they basically worked like Fire Up. They each gave 1% increased speed for breaking stuff, vaulting, picking up, and hooking Survivors for each completed generator? Then if the survivors completely ignored their current 2nd objective... well the killer is rocking a 25% buff for doing stuff faster and... well... that's really scary. But... then also make it so the buff goes down 2% for each dead survivor so it starts unsnowballing if the Survivors start dying.
Like I keep seeing people say "We need to give Surivivors a 2nd objective" but they have one... they just mostly ignore it. So... let's give em a reason to stop ignoring it.

Are you a 2019 player I can tell you know nothing about balance or the game after reading your proposed changes you are a new killer main like alot do the playerbase who complains.
If survivor takes no skill why does so much of the playerbase suck at looping. Did y ok u notice with old legion definitely t had the biggest survivor dip? If survivor is so easy let's play custom I'll play oni and loop me on blood lodge for atleast 2 minutes.
1. Old ruin was incredibly unhealthy for the game new players couldnt get through gens. It was braindead for killers who were bad st making map pressure for themselves. Pop is a good ruin replacement and so is corrupt.
2. This I would be ok with some totem spawns are so bad actually unfairly.
3. Keys arent guaranteed they still have a spawn chance but I wouldn't mind this either but in turn decrease ebony mori spawn rate way too common.
4. Flashlights have been nerfed 3 years ago crippling their addons and having nothing useful but 4! 4 addons are useful and to top it off you can look at walls and run lightborn or franklins.
5. Im mixed about this but for the most part I guess. But keys will be getting nerfed any ways and hard locked to one escape so what's the issue?
6. Adrenaline rewards you for completing your objective, dead hard is an exhaustion perk. You have to joking these perks are on cooldown to one use per 40 seconds.
7. I had 6 pallets max on auto haven it was so bad it spawned double pallets! Alot of the survivors are bad at the game if you delete the pallets we lose every game guaranteed you are showing the basis basis this one.
8. If you "remove half the loops" you essentially make blendette become meta and you will have boring games where survivors will stealth so hard you might as well quit.
So anyways be honest when did you start this game my killer biased friend I can tell you got to be new here. Havent seen 2017 loops, havent seen vacuum pallets, havent seen insta blinds. Its gross that you think this way.

I'm not sure but I think that devs were working on an early game collapse to balance gen speeds more. I mean genspeeds are really fast, killers like clown or trapper just have almost no chance to presure gens.
I mean it is not even genrushing, survivors are most of the times just doing their objectives. Its not their fault its the devs fault for making gens so fast, I mean I might be wrong but if two people work on a gen it takes less than 40 seconds. If all four survivors are working alone on a gen its pretty much gg for the killer, he cant presure all gens at the same time. Even if he kills one survivors in like 10 seconds hooks him and stops another survivor from doing a gen. Two gens are still gonna pop and you have another far done gen and one that should also be around 20%. Killers like Nurse, Hillbilly and Freddy don't have that problem because they just got insanely high map presure. But weaker killers just stand no chance.
Clown would be a A tier killer, he just cant presure gens at all and thats what makes him one of the worst killers in the game. Trapper just wastes a lot of time in the early game with his setup, most of the time if you want to win as trapper you just have to 3 gen.
I don't really know, I wouldn't say there's much devs can do about gen speeds. They said that they wont change genspeeds. I think if anyone got real problems with gen speeds he should just wait for the early game collapse and hope for it to fix genspeeds.
