If Bubba gets an early down, he is guaranteed a 2-4K if he facecamps
The math is pretty simple if the first condition (a down in the first minute) is met.
- Bubba facecamps his victim until they die.
- ALTERNATIVE 1: If the other three survs are good, they slam gens and never even look at the fourth survivor. This means three gens are gone, and 1 or 2 of the last two are on their way when the first victim dies. Bubba chases down one of the remaining three while the other two slam gens, and facecamps the new victim. The last two survs don't play around and just leave. Bubba- 2K
- ALTERNATIVE 2: If the survivors aren't smart, one or more of them play footsie with Bubba while he facecamps the first victim. This wastes time, and when the victim dies there are only a couple gens down (or if the survs are really dumb, maybe just one). With three survivors and 3-4 gens, Bubba can play "normally" and go for a 3K or 4K (and at a minimum, if somehow he's bad at finding people or keeps losing survivors during chases he facecamps whoever he manages to catch before all gens are down for a 2K).
Is any of this wrong?

Alternative 4: stop asking for weak killers to be nerfed and think of why a certain killer camps a lot
10 -
That's pretty much the formula for any killer if they don't immediately focus on gens. One player out of the game snowballs hard.

Yes, but Bubba is the only one who is guaranteed to keep the first victim on the hook. Nobody else can do that if there is coordinated hook diving by 2-3 survivors.

This kinda works for any killer. If you don't have DS or your team doesn't have BT the killer can cheese you out instantly.
1 -
But with new Bubba, BT is worthless.
You can't hook dive or outplay him at the hook: all you'll do is die and probably get the hooked Survivor downed again even with BT (unless there's a wall with a window or a pallet close to the hook) and the same goes for body-blocking.
The only thing that helps against him in this scenario is if the Survivor that gets unhooked crawls away from their downed/hooked rescuer with DS and Unbreakable, and even then best case scenario is that they've traded hooks.

This can be applied to any killer. Imagine doing this as Nurse, it is even worse.

You honestly think new Bubba is weak?
2 -
Actually, the math doesn't add up.
Survivors die quicker if they are rescued from the hook, then put back on within a set time. Furthermore, even if you do not meet that time, as long as you are consistently hooking survivors every 30 seconds to a minute, you are still going faster than if you face camped a single survivor on a hook before moving on to the next. The amount of time a Survivor spends on a hook through both phases is about 2 minutes. In that amount of time, you will have done far more damage if you managed to hook 2-3 survivors that still got rescued, and you can pressure gens and break pallets as a bonus.
Face camping is slower than breaking off to hook more survivors.
On top of this, face camping ensures that generators are receiving no pressure. If the Survivors are running Bond, Kindred, or working in a SWF, they will know if someone else is going for the save and quickly learn if you are face camping. As a result, they will blitz gens and ensure the killer does not have enough time in the match to secure enough kills to brag to their mom when she calls out that dinner is ready. The most the killer will see if a 1k or 2k, when splitting off could have been a 4k with no gates open.
If you want to face camp, go for it. You do you, friendo. But call it for what it is: It's playing bad cuz ur bad. Git Gud.

Maybe I just unfortunately went up against a lot of “good” Bubba’s but I thought the one even before the buff was pretty strong.

There is nothing wrong with it, and it is true for almost any killer, but especially for killers who can instadown.
I even suggest you add a small variable costing almost nothing for a killer camping: use NOED. What should the survivors do (assuming they immediately know the killer is camping): fix the generators, or search and destroy the totems?
And soon we will see campers who also know how to use Undying, it will be a real pleasure.

While he is better then he used to be He is in no way overpowered

Edit: Exististence is painful for a meeseek. Mister Meeseek next survivor please. Do it for the lulz.

Actually its like this step 1:facecamp.
Step 2: bubba has noed and gets 2nd down with noed since the counter to noed is to do bones and the counter to camping is do gens cant do both in that time.
Step 3:go do something actually meaningful with your life considering thats boring af.

You called him a weak killer. While he isn’t overpowered after his buff, he sure as ######### ain’t weak either.

He became like most recent and rework killers good at 1v1 bad at 4v1 can’t nerf 1v1 aspect if you don’t buff 4v1
