No points for unsafe unhook

I am getting tired of survivors running over while the killer is chasing them and then unhooking me so that the killer has a weakened target to kill and they can run away while I get re-hooked immediately. They are basically using me to get away from the killer and profiting from it via points. I think if your target was on their first hook and was hit within 5 seconds of the unhook that you should lose all points for it. If they were on their second hook and are hit within 5 seconds of the unhook, you lose 50% of the points (the lesser penalty being in case someone is about to die and you wanted to at least give them a chance of getting away), if the killer is within a certain range of the hook when it happens (this would avoid penalizing unhooks done when the killer is able to get to the hook within 5 seconds, but was far away from it).

Idk about anyone else, but if I ever accidentally unhook someone and didn't know the killer was right there (or even if they just suddenly blink or chainsaw back), I put myself between the target I unhooked and the killer as we run away together, to at least give everyone a chance to get away.

I'd love a choice to kick the hook farmer in the face if they are in the killers terror radius while doing it.

If I'm being camped or patrolled, I don't mind staying on the hook till i die if it keeps the killers attention on me and not the gens being done. But i have lost count of the times survivors have literally run at me with the killer chasing them. I always find it funny when the killer punishes that action by going for the runner instead, they don't have to since the tactic isn't their fault or problem, but it does give me a lovely warm feeling inside.

Fortunately the devs are attempting to fix this by changing how the hook save bloodpoints are earned. In the coming patch a hook save will earn you 1000 bp. If the rescuee doesn't go down in 10 seconds the remaining 500 bp is given.

i agree unsafe unhooks suck but I'd rater they try something then just let me die. Get ready for troll Myers/Leatherface insidious builds.

The best thing is when survivors loop the killer in front of the hooked guy.
This is one of the rare cases I actually enjoy runing in circles, might even run a few extra rounds just for the lulz

Perfect idea for a DS rework. Let us stab hook farmers in the neck with a trusty shoe knife if they are trying to farm us or use us as a meat shield ! :)

I made the argument they needed to reverse the points given for unhooks.

    500 for the unhook
    1000 for the safe unhook

Much like killers get more points for the initial hook and less for the sacrifice.

That gives incentive's for better rescues.

I def agree that if the killer is still nearby the hooked person should get a new action if someone tried to unhook them, "kick in the face" and action that stuns the unhook farmer letting the killer nab them.I was just in a match where one guy unhooked everyone else in front of the killer, resulting in them getting killed. He then escaped...Takes all the fun out of it.

I dono, I kinda like the element of survivor betrayal as a horror element (reallllllly wish we had more game modes for such). Though never mind me... I keep thinking this is a horror game and not tag simulator.

I don't think removing the points would be enough of an incentive to get them to stop doing it. For the exact reasons you've stated, they would still do it because it means the killer may turn their attention to someone else instead of them.

That would be pretty funny :P.

So, I'm running Borrowed Time 3, Sprint Burst etc. and have the option of dashing in and rescuing you (giving you a chance of escape that you didn't previously have) but now I can't risk it because you might panic and kick me in the face? Then we're both dead.

I agree with the sentiment - it's annoying as hell when you're unhooked in front of the killer - but this just makes it harder to rescue you.
