Should survivors have their own unique perks, monthly buffs to their own perks or powers?
Since the new matchmaking system was introduced and it was said that each killer would be ranked and matched differently depending on how much each player has played that killer or has a handle on that killer it bugged me that survivors won't get the same treatment.
I've been thinking for a while now that Survivors, when you get to Level 40 Tier 1 and collect their teachable perks, are nothing more than different skins and have no unique perks nor powers. I was wondering do you think they each should have a unique unteachable perk that solely applies to them and is only unique to them like the killers have? Or that if you played a specific survivor (ex. Claudette) and applied their own teachable perks to them (Botany knowledge, Self-Care or Empathy), they should get a buff only when playing as that specific survivor and it doesn't apply to others (permanent/monthly/by each tome/by each chapter, all 3 perks get buffs or it changes periodically for each of them). Let's say for ex. when playing Claudette and using Self-Care you heal 1.2x faster, or botany knowledge speeds up for 5% more. What do you think about that idea?

For the third time this thread has been made in the last 48 hours; no, it would create a survivor meta. Bonuses would either be too strong, like running speed on Meg or repair/coop speed on Dwight, or legitimately useless like exit gate speed on Quentin. Or the values would be so low that they wouldn't be worth the effort of implementing. You would only see the survivors with the good passives.
It would also devalue all of the points and levels put into characters people like if all of a sudden they have the worst passive of the lot.

I would have searched the threads if the search bar wasn't useless and I don't have the time to look up every single thread to see if it matches my topic.
Yeah, but it's those little things that make a difference. There was always a moment in game where I felt that I needed just a second or two to complete something or do something sucessfully or loop better, so a small buff would have helped there a lot, especially for the new players coming into the game. It could also be proportional to your rank, kinda like lower the rank, bigger the buffs. And it would bring more personality to each of the character and you could connect with them better.
Also it could be tome related. Lets say for a limited time you get a small buff to help you complete a challenge and you could progress through the rift more efficiently. But as the rift closes so to the buffs and it would be harder to complete. And the buffs change for each of the character from tome to tome. And the characters featured would get the biggest buff.
It kinda would create a survivor meta, but it's the same with killers. I rarely go againts The Plague, Legion, Deathslinger, Demogorgon and Hag and often go againts Huntress, Ghostface (too much tbh), Myres, Hillbilly and Spirit. So in a way it could sort of balance itself, force Killer mains to change strategy and try other killers for good counters. I literally hate running Spine Chill every single game cause 60% of the time I get paired with either Ghostface or Myres and I'd love to try other perks, but I always plan my build around Spine Chill cause there aren't many other perks that could sucesfully counter them. If the perks/buffs changed periodically the meta wouldn't be permanent.

Imagine being a Steve main and your passive is "See the killer's aura for 1 extra second with Babysitter." Hell no.

I played as a killer for a while and I started to regret that I ever suggested this "improvement". Too many toxic survivors, they don't deserve buffs. I especially feel sorry for low rank players, because of toxic player they are getting punished A LOT no matter if they are still getting used to the game or not. Better suggestion! For the clickies if they over klick the flashlight in a short period of time the entity should either consume it, drain half or all of it's charges or temporarely disable it so the killer gets one free shot. And for the teabagging, there should be a status called "muscle cramp" where the survivor who starts teabagging should be rewarded with staying in crouch position for 10-15 seconds, so the killer can also get one free shot. Now that's balance right there. 😎

Should just put a minimum channel on it so it consumes a small chunk each click.

I'm hearing everyone picks Laurie for stronger DS.
On a more serious note, no I don't think this would be good for the game. Its bad enough players have to go through the grind on each killer they want to play, having to do that for survivor too? No thank you. Not to mention the huge balance issues it would cause. The game is poorly balanced with just one side being unique, imagine both sides with one having a potential 4 different powers.
