Maybe if it was a Scream licensed DLC, but it wasn't. They simply licensed the Ghostface mask from that licensor.
Scream didn't own the mask, Craven and studio also licensed it from the creator.
So, it's a "Ghostface," but not Scream. So, Sidney isn't possible.

why that they could still add it just have 3 survivors int he chapter Sidney Prescott,Gale Weathers and Dwight 'Dewey' Riley map woodsboro( the school the farm house the town) there the full chapter we don't need the killer who already in the game.
I said this many times but with out the scream movies the ghost face costume wouldn't be as popular as it is now.

Because that requires a license for Scream. And if they wanted that, or did and were unable to obtain it, then it would have been a Scream chapter.
I think it's safe to assume at this point that BHVR has moved on from that avenue.

I don't know. I don't do Twitter. All I'm saying is that it seems unlikely, even with the Reboot happening. They already have Ghostface, and given how expensive the Scream license generally is, I don't see them financially paying that cost just for a survivor.
Bill (Left 4 Dead) and Ash (Ash vs Evil Dead) were different. I don't know what Bill cost for a license, but I have a decent idea of the ballpark for Ash vs Evil Dead and the ballpark for a Scream license. I worked in the games industry for 14 years, and dealt with many licenses and trying to get them.

The problem was the costume and the scream movie+charcters were owned by 2 different entities. If they got the rights to Scream they couldn't use the costume without getting those rights. That would mean they would have to pay 2 corporations for permission to use it. So they got the rights to the costume and invented a character to wear it.

As much as I´d love that I can´t imagine that BHVR would engage in negotiations for her License when they already have a version of Ghostface in their game. I´m convinced in their book, the case of Scream is closed.

They could do that but IMO chapters with just a survivor tend to sell less. The devs can't really add any good perks anymore for fear of making survivor even stronger. Since survivors only offer new perks you paying $10-20 bucks for a skin to wear and you have to lvl it up.

Everybody knows this. Idk why everyone comments this like its a huge revelation, like scream fans don't realize this ghostface with a completely different outfit isnt from Scream. I think its only people saying "Hey did you know?" but if its not that then why do you people think that licensing the mask makes it "impossible" to licenses a Scream DLC....even tho the mask would be an obstacle in licensing a Scream DLC and they now have a direct connection to the Scream IP by being associated with Funworld.

that why they need to make lvling up easier let us sell add on offering and stuff we don't use also they don't have to add just Sidney hell add Dwight 'Dewey' Riley and Gale Weathers I should people want them too also killer got good perks last chapter Sidney,Dwight and Gale perk don't have to be game braking just good.

Yes, that would be a Reboot. Which is basically relaunching it, acknowledging at least the original as having happened, while ignoring whatever sequels they choose to.
That's why Halloween 2018 was also a Reboot.
A reboot is different from a Remake. In that regard, the Rob Zombie Halloween and the newest Child's Play were Remakes.

I can barely understand you, learn some grammar. I'm not a dev, but what does that matter? There's barely any reason to add Sidney and get into licensing. She has nowhere near the fan desire as things like Silent Hill, Stranger Things, and so on.
How can you assume I only play one side based off an opinion of a survivor skin? Don't say it's different, it's literally just a skin over a maybe new model. If I didn't know any better, I would assume you only play survivor based off of your assumptions.

no I play both side and scream got a bigger fan base then you might think people do want her,she as iconic as Laurie Strode and Nightmare on elm Street Nancy Thompson.
also ghostface costume wouldn't be as popular today with out the Scream movies so having ghostface not Sidney is dumb as hell why I said never say never it could happen.
