Games too much Grind for New Players

Some other mechanic needs to be put in place now to help new players out.

There are over 180 perks in this game at 3 tier levels and if you were a new player that paid for all the DLC then you will not be seeing characters with all tier 3 perks for YEARS!!!

I have owned this games for over 2.5 years and I own all DLC. I only have all perks tier 3 with Dwight and half survivors are lvl 50.

Killer wise I have no killers lvl 50. And this is all in 2.5 years.

My point is, unless you have no job or are a full time streamer who plays 6 hours a day then it is so daunting for s new player to expect to get all perks and the variety of gameplay it brings. It will take them YEARS.

Is there another mechanic that can be implemented for new players to help with the grind?

Welcome we've been saying this for a while with more and more characters coming on the horizon as well.

A Bloodweb rework is longer overdue at this point. A prime example is when PH and Cheryl were released, and it took me over 2 Mil BP on just Cheryl alone to get the actual perk I wanted. Luckily I did this at the 4th Aniversary event when BP was overflowing. And now with another chapter being released next month, the grind returns even worse. I really hope they have some sort of plans in place to do something because it's going to get to a point for me I won't bother buying a new DLC just because I don't want to have to grind and pray to the RNG gods that Perks I find useful will actually apear.

This has been a clear and present issue in DBD for years. The Devs have done absolutely nothing about it except throw the occasional BP event.

But all perks aren't neefed. Just need to unlock your main 4 then add on to that down the road. The grind sucks only when you want everything.

Yeah if i want to win i just need ds unbreakable bt and dead hard.

Thats boring and some people want to play niche builds and mess around with perks they paid for and don't wanna play for years to get the benefit of niche stuff.I understand on killers because each perk can impact powers and gameplay style. But survivors are literally skins which have like 5 meta perks. The rest youd just be playing for fun (like you should). Its ridiculous at this point. Especially when each perk has 3 levels and how much stuff is bp wise and more and more killers and survivors coming out. You have double the grind if you play both sides as well.

Yeah we all know and agree with that and we've been saying the same thing for a long time. Unfortunately the devs don't seem to care.

I agree. This past week, we had another friend of ours buy this game because they have been watching us play this game for a couple of years now and finally wanted to give a try. They are NOT impressed by the substantial grind for this game. let alone how much grinding must be done in order to even have a REMOTELY positive experience. Unlocking perks in this game absolutely is grindy like an MMO and NOT a normal game. Even more, when a person has a perk that is stuck at TIER 1, and the next 20 blood webs have NO upgrade for that perk. let alone even IF a person unlocks the perk in the Shrine of Secrets, The perk might not even show up in that web for DAYS of grinding. Been there done that!
