How does spirits phasing sound actually work?

I thought I knew how it worked; people inside of her terror radius would hear nothing when she started phasing, and every survivor outside of it would hear it. But with Prayer Beads, it says every survivor outside of her terror radius hears it.

Is it only within a certain distance?

You will only hear her default phasing if she is phasing near you while you are outside her husks terror radius. Prayer beads (I'm pretty sure) makes it so the sound is universal like wraiths 'bone clapper' addon, meaning every survivor on the map will hear her phase even if she isn't nearby as long as they aren't in her husks terror radius.

I feel like they should specify it more; I legit thought that every survivor outside of the radius heard it, but I guess that would give away the killer pretty quickly at the beginning.
