Remove the ability to 99% Exit Gates.
Honestly the Exit Game system is such a joke right now. Unless you're gimping yourself to run Remember Me it takes almost no time to open them, the game might as well just open them automatically as soon as the last generator is finished, it's a free escape at that point.
Not to mention that Blood Warden is useless (ironically given it's supposed to be an endgame perk). Survivors won't finish the gate until all other Survivors are unhooked and at the gate, so Blood Warden never triggers.
You'll never be able to guard them without Whispers, either. Nowadays the last Survivor escapes 90% of the time. Either he'll find the hatch or, if you close it, he'll be able to open the gate before you can find them.
What's the point of having an Endgame Collapse if it literally doesn't matter at all?

I agree that the gates opening time is a little short, but there's nothing wrong with those perks and the endgame. Blood warden works for nearly every single game I play, it's an unexpected perk. And 99-ing the door can work to your advantage, especially as a huntress/deathslinger/phead

It seems EGC is meant to prevent players from holding the game hostage and is not meant to be an advantage for killers.

ECG is the fallout from bad changes. I dont like it either, but nobody can agree on anything.
Ideas for changes:
1 ) ECG timer starts right away. (45 to 60 minutes).
2 ) Hatch can no longer be closed. If killers want their secured killers. NOED
3 ) Borrowed time is applied to ANY survivor unhooked within the killer's terror radius. and is no longer just a perk.
4 ) unbreakable is available now to any and all survivors playing and is no longer just a perk.
5 ) Brutal strength buffed by 15%
6 ) All killer's can MORI a survivor that has been hooked at least twice. and without the perk.
7 ) Distortion no longer has tokens required to work (Same as calm spirit).
This is just my opinion. Nothing too crazy.

What's to stop you as the killer from opening the gate yourself and forcing EGC?

Dev's already said they are keeping the gate as is OP, if the killer really wants they can open the gates themselves :/

Whats wrong with opening the gate to trigger EGC? And Blood Warden works almost every game for me.

A dev stated in another similar thread that they tried having exit gates regress but it lead to undesirable results, so I wouldn’t expect any change

Just make the EGC start when the last gen is done. Increase the base timer if you must but I would really like the EGC to actually force the game to end instead of just being something that shows up when you close the hatch.

It’s very good that survivors can 99 exit gates. It can lead to misplays that extends the game and leads to close calls.
It’s both frustrating and satisfying to make last second save and turn things around on a killer even if a second person went down in the first save because you have that extra time.
As a killer you can capitalize on this because most survivors don’t want to open the gate first and will over commit to late game saves which can turn the game in the killer’s favor.
I understand where you’re coming from, but this is a problem that gets solved with experienced not a rework.

Open the damn thing yourself if you want it open.

If they get to the fifth generator it's because you don't know how to play.
This is the version we're going to give soon..🤔

Isn't the game balanced around 2 kills? Don't get me wrong the complaint is stupid but all gens being done is pretty normal.

The thing is all people posting something like this don't want the gate open but the progress diminish like a generator with ruin. They don't want the survivor being able to tap it open when in chase.
While 99ing a gen, that takes 80 seconds to repair and with the killer being able to regress it by kicking, is okay from their perspective, it is frustrating that opening a gate takes only 20 and the killer can't undo this progress in any way.
The only influence the killer can have at this point is either forfeiting by opening it themselves or use remember me which was nerfed along the line.

Most of them seems crazy strong.
1. I think from my experience and comments on this forum, the average game time is something between 5 and 20 minutes. So making your suggestion of egc longer than 30 minutes seems over the top (without the early game slowdown they are planning).
2. NOED is already a red flag for the community (make it baseline if you want 3. and 4. ;P /s). Also welcome back to hatch standoff were themewise no survivor should be able to escape a killer in arms reach.
3. Would be way to abusable and make unsafe unhook a common occurrence and any kind of hook trade nearly impossible due to blocking by the unhooked
4. All 4 survivor bringing in normally is already hard enough to counter with pressure, giving more possibilities with the free perks lot seems broken
5. Only 15% or make it also baseline like 3. And 4., If not, seems like pretty unbalanced
6. Yeah, this would be good, take away the offering and make the animation baseline available, DS should already make no difference after the first unhook
7. Wouldn't this break the game in combination with object of obsession. It's only downside being that only the obsession being able to use it. Also completly countering several perks like nurses calling, BBQ, bitter murmur and so on?
Overall these suggestions seems pretty one-sided towards survivor and more importantly would break the game balance wise with swf.
I am all for making several information perks baseline (kindred, bond, buckle up and so on) and buff killer accordingly to take the edge off of swf over solo queue.

This game is unbalanced.
The killers make me laugh, no horror, no surprise, no challenge, no fun (EZ).🙄

Give Remember Me it as a buff. (Entity knows it needs it)
Exit Gates regress by 0.25% per Token every second when not being worked on.

Ironically, the majority of the time I see someone 99% a gate, it leads to someone dying because the door isn't open when they're running during their last chase.

This has been my experience too, sometimes I am the victim of that lol It just happened today, against The Hag on Haddonfield. I was insta-tunneled off the Hook and downed near the door at 99%! I couldn't finish it fast enough or I would've escaped. I was tunneled off my first hook just as hard and thus already used DS. It was still pretty fun, she was a weird Hag with trap placements.

Best thing i can suggest is the killer hits it like a gen and it can regress.

But EGC does matter and it does exactly what it's supposed to do: providing a way to put a hard cap on how long the match can last that's available to both sides. Survivors have to activate it to escape through the gate, killers can open a gate if they want to as well.
That's its entire purpose. Making sure there's a way to stop matches from going on forever with a fancy coat of glowy paint on top of it that can be activated by players in the match.

I don't think you should wait for survivors to give you a chance to use blood warden. When I run it, I usually open the gate myself. And it works the best if you can keep the chase to a point the ECG is at its end when you down the survivor.
Even if the gates regress, the survivors will find ways to counter it, be sure of it. The point of ECG is just to end the game already. But the real pressure is yours to apply. Besides, what's so bad the the last survivor escaped? If you got a 3k, you won already.
Well, that's what I think.
