Did I Studder??
Seriously, I noticed it before with grabbing off gens that turn into just a basic smack. But come on! I recently had 3 opportunities to grab a survivor (3 different games obviously) from getting a Hatch! The animation ticks but No! I get a studdered animation as IF I grabbed but they get Hatch escape.... 🤦♂️
It's enough to make me wanna introduce my forehead through a concrete wall 🥴
Anyone else feel this?

Broken grab animations that don't follow through are a thing for several months now since the implementation of dedicated servers.

You can't grab from hatch since End Game Collapse mechanic was implemented.

And also.. why would they do that? That would add more fuel to the Survivor Sided Controversy

To stop Hatch Standoffs.
Now, whoever gets there first wins, period. If the Survivor does, they get to Escape. The Killer does, they get to close it shut.

It is actually. They removed it to prevent stupid hatch stand off.

It actually is. It was awful before; for both killers and survivors. You could have games where you’d be standing at the hatch for over 20 minutes waiting for one side to give in. Now that the killer can close the hatch, it’d make no sense for them to also be able to grab the survivor out.

And they removed the break the tie to auto win for survivor 🥴 reaching the Hatch at the exact same time

Pretty much. But if hatch is about to open you can spam space to close hatch before survivor escape. Works 50/50.

The killer will always be able to shut the hatch before a survivor could hop in.

Still wouldn't work for me I still would lose lmao. I just dunno why lately grabbing studders. And knowing about how you could at Hatch. Those attempts got real frustrating 😖
Especially having seen gameplay of streamers getting Hatch grabs (albeit rerun episodes and I not pay much attention when the dates were) that spurred moment ya know.
I would have loved a Hatch grab. I know I been studdering when grabbing off gens lately. Turned to basic attacks. So I put 2 and 2 together out of frustration.

I get sooo fed up of this! so many games and I can't grab, turns into a swat or lets the surv go it's so darn tootin annoying
