Go next game on 1st hook is the only counter i know so far.
As a solo Q player unfortunately so many games are extremely boring specially when the killer brings really strong addons with a Mori.

Spirit is the worst thing to happen in this game so far when it comes to power idea.
People still defending her as counterable but they cannot prove their point beyond "guessing".

Aren't you the same guy who only plays PH because you can tunnel survivors. Call me cocky but I was trying to chill and play dbd object gives me chases which is fun.

I main Trapper (and love the power design, character design, and I like to play Spirit), I also play survivor and like facing Spirit (if im not injured & Spirit has no stridor).
If she's phasing or pretending phasing, keep running far away, then walk left/right. Never move closer to her. Do the same if shes 'phasing' at loops.
A good counter to Spirit is flashlight. If she's acting phasing (or actually phasing), flashlight on her for half a sec. If she's acting, she will immediately move away. If shes not, run away from loops.
The pain of not able to run because she can see scratch mark, or walk and she can hear you breathing/moaning.
I think there should be more visual cue to Survivors
- move grass,corn ect.
- sound's phasing is heard even if in her terror radius. The phasing sound can be heard when in 16m radius.
- make her bright like Gen light when she's phasing.
Rework on Spirit
- Make Stridor a build-in for Spirit (in another word, gain her volume when phasing). Remove ability to see scratch mark.

honestly some people are not 12 and meanwhile have hearing impaired and can barely hear anything in dbd due to chase music.
dude, you are so eager to dc, ######### on hook. probably the little anime girl would put up a bigger fight against spirit.
pls, watch competitive play, ask the players how to handle spirit, improve your play. i tell you it is great to mindgame a spirit when you get the hang of it and actually anticipate their moves...

That is a huge assumption to make regardless of chase music good spirits who good headsets with stridor pinpoint your location.
I mean akame is a stone cold killer she would beat spirit, but I digress it was my 2nd and 3rd spirit game I was bored out of my mind. She had stridor and the best addons not to mention a mori. I would love to see you handle that spirit in my situation.
Please refrain from calling it a mindgame its a guess. There is no reading if they have speed and duration. Lets say you guess right with speed and duration even more time to correct their mistake. I also had no iron will which is the "counter" to her even though having to run x perk isn't valid counterplay nor is it healthy for the game.
I watch dowsey play as stridor spirit against team Instant Dodge not much they could do. I seen otz survive a decent spirit and he himself said it comes down to guesses. How about to tell me the coutner to spirit that isnt guess this or guess that. You can't anticipate a move when she gives zero info except when you are out side the terror radius.

You do know when you run you leave tracks right? Cause she can see those while phasing. You didn't even attempt to stealth or mind game her. You just kept running hoping her duration would run out before she found you. This video only proves you don't know how to counter a spirit. If you don't like facing spirits then maybe you and the rest of the survivor community should stop begging for nerfs.

She had fathers glasses which was obvious from my first hit I knew she wasn't gonna see my scratches. She also had stridor and me no iron will. I don't see you going against a spirit who knows their audio a good one has no counter thats the problem. All you can do is look and judge put yourself in the situation I was in. Also I was planning on killing myself on hook If its gonna be a boring game I mean re queue and go to the next.

and your the reason why there should be punishments for hook suicides. Those 4 other people paid for this game the same as you and you ruined thier match because you weren't having fun.

While I agree, Hook suicide shouldn't just be DC without the punishment, they seemed to be in a 3 man SWF given the 3 common names in the clips, and assuming they agreed, It's only 2 people they ######### over not 4 in this specific example.

Said that 100 times before, but you're not supposed to hard counter a killers ability. Imagine 4 survivors could do that, that would mean 0 kills 0 hooks every game for this killer. Survivors always have this "i should only get killed when i clearly ######### up"-attitude but what about the killer just playing very good? Survivors are 4 and their strength is their teamwork, it's ok to have situations where the killer will get the down 99% (like PH on vaults or pallets). You are not supposed to run the killer for 5 gens even if you're better, that's why bloodlust exists, you're supposed to waste his time. You even said that Spirit was very good? Wouldn't say he mindgamed her well, its nearly always better to walk away from the loop than just being 2m away from the point where your scratchmarks end (because of double backing).
Also he is clearly biased, look how he recorded all that slugging and mori stuff in the end, even if it doesn't add anything to the main topic, just to show what an ######### this Spirit is. He clearly has an agenda.

I wish I recorded my games. 2 nights ago I was forced to try to 4% in front of a purple spirit with whispers and dressed to the nines and I played that poor girl like a fiddle. Gates were powered and she wanted to camp and my team was stalled waiting for her to leave which she wasn't going to. She's tough i'll grant you that but if i can manage I'm sure others can as well.
I get the need to vent so go ahead open up.

Counter play doesnt mean hard counter. If you have options at all no matter how unreliable that's counterplay.
People expect to be able to fully counter killers through expression of skill and not all killers allow that. This doesn't mean there is no counterplay.
People should look to the fgc, mixup 50/50 characters aren't fun but there is counterplay.
