That's how most places do it though? You have to report the person through whatever platform they attacked you on if it wasn't an in game thing. If it was DBD end chat and they went off on you then they might do something but otherwise you just have to go through your platform.

Mind giving some context other than a screenshot? What was said or done by the offender? If they messaged you through PS4 or Xbox messages then obviously behaviour can't do anything. They don't control the platform. Just the game

They can’t ban someone unless they have in-game proof I believe, if it was dm’d then its none if BHVR’s business but the console owners

We do state that what happens outside of the game is not something we can take action on. We can access the chat logs within our game (so end game chat) but that any other chat offences have to be dealt with on the platform that it occurs on - we've always been very clear about that.

Report them to the platform the harassment took place on, that's always how it's been.
I've had people banned through reporting them. Reporting works.
Don't spread this false narrative.

Curious question. Is there any situation where you would punish someone who purposely targets those outside of DBD to circumvent your report system? Because I'll be honest it takes a lot for Steam to punish someone for being a jerk on their client. Yeah you can block people but Steam is pretty hands off with a lot of stuff.

24 days passed and still the devs haven't seen my reports.

You have to be a wiz at taking pics and vids to even consider sending a report on ps4. =/
