An amazing tip: Drop the chase!
If the survivor clearly outplays you in loops, just drop the chase and find a more suitable victim, the looper will get downed eventually trying to save his bad looping teammates.
The amount of times I've been chasen for 4+ gens cause the killer got stubborn with me is huge! Just don't make it personal. If you just stop chasing me, you'll get others faster and I'll have to waste time trying to help them and commit mistakes in the process.

No, I'm not the best, I consider myself really good, but this case only applies when I outplay the killer, if you're better than the surv go ahead with the chase, but if you don't, people need to know when to drop a chase and stop wasting time for 1k
3 -
Ok, when when all 4 are good loppers?
Between jungle gyms, shack, and the sheer amount of pallets survivors sometimes get, what am i supposed to do then?
Don't get me wrong, it's a good advice, just that there's more into it than just that...

No no, I get it, but I really hope that's not what happens the most to you cause then you're clearly not a good killer or you're going against god tier survivors

I understand what you mean. I was just kidding.

Yes, I got chased for 4+ gens also against a Clown, and he ended up proxy camping when he finally got me. Since I was doing solo queue, no one took aggro. I gave the Clown a gg though, I had fun.

No, I chase them for 5 minutes and write "nice genrush" in Postgame Chat!

Dropping the chase doesn't stop you from doing gens though. It's a lose/lose situation.
Maps have too many resources for survivors. That's the problem.
Like, why dafuq do giant maps have even a single un mindgameable pallets?
It's bad design on top of bad design.

LMAO, this is so accurate

Did you just disgrace looping, to holding W? Nice bait

I guess you're supposed to get good ;) In my experience really outstanding squads like that are rare, and all killers have at least some tools to help them in a chase. It's definitely easy to lose if you can't make a play on the first chase, though.
4 -
Here's an example, he kept dropping the chase with me, and got a 2k, then he went for me, yes, you lost time chasing the looper, but you're wasting more if you keep chasing him, it's a lose-lose situation, but if you stick to the chase, you're gonna lose even more.

Haha imma be honest I'm the worse killer you'll ever see, but my remark was more in the sence..... I've seen good killers going against 4 really good loppers and Holy #########.... It's tough man. Even if i one day git gud, i still won't know what to do

Yeah, I agree you should drop the chase, but 4 remotely decent survivor will waste enough time for 5 gens, just cause there are too many resources.

The problem is that in most maps, the survivor can just outpallet you and you don't really have a clear right play. If you leave, they'll stop giving you strong pallets and you'll have to worry later because anyone you hit can make it to the still-strong area. If you commit, gens are a thing that survivors occasionally very often do.

I wouldn't go out of your way to get pallets out of the way. Wraith is really good at landing first hits, so you should be able to land a hit before they make it to a pallet. If you're playing hit and run Wraith this is even more true, because at lot of these "first hits" will be on people who you've already injured.
That said, if someone is running around like a chicken with their head cut off and insta-dropping every pallet they get to, it could be worth chasing for a little bit lol. They'd have to headed towards some really strong pallets, though.

This is true, I had a ghostface chase me yesterday for the entire 5 gens. The worst part is that he chased me around the same pallet for 5 gens. It wasn't even a strong loop/pallet. When he caught me, he immediately camped under the hook, and then when I got unhooked he immediately went for me again, lol. My team had to surround me so I could get out.
Then the next match I had a huntress run around a car with me for two gens--one of the gen was directly behind her but she wouldn't stop tunnel visioning me. She lost the game because she wouldn't stop chasing me around a car. Not even a pallet. The pallet was already gone.

It's especially annoying when a killer decides to chase you for multiple generators and then facecamp and tunnel you like YOU did something wrong.

Hit and drop chase is the ideal scenario if you sense a survivor is good at looping or the other survivors are gen rushing. Killer is all about optimization, agreed.
Every killer main on these forums seems to only match against 4 man SWF god-tier survivors. 90% of survivors are not that good even at red ranks. In a SWF, plenty of the good survivors will be made vulnerable by them wanting to rescue their less-skilled teammates. If you manage to be matched against a 4 man SWF that are god-tier, they summoned Exodia on your a$$ and hopefully you used your best perks, add-ons, and brought a mori.
Not sure why people are so annoyed with SWF personally. If anything, it makes strong players more altruistic and vulnerable in most situations.

Yeah, you have to give up the chase sometimes. But it's hard to tell when.
Had a game yesterday where I was dropping chases like crazy. It always felt like I was losing (even though I was Freddy with OP add-ons. I was going for the rift challenge where you have to kill all 4 survivors.) but eventually pulled it off. It was very stressful though. I feel like some of that stress could be reduced in exchange for reducing some of the snowball potential of killers.

It´s a common occurence to already have lost the game if the first survivor chased is good and has strong tiles at his/her disposal, regardless what the killer does afterwards.
This is especially true for newer/casual Killers. Not only can they not reliably determine whether the tile setup allows for hits in a timely manner but neither can they be sure the next survivor they find is bad and in a bad spot.
In my experience, at a certain level it really comes down to which tiles spawn and if they allow to make meaningful decisions to outplay the other side. As of now, most pallets are still 100% safe and unmindgameble (some before or after they have been dropped).
It´s good advice to drop a bad chase, but as someone else said, it´s lose-lose.

Most good killers know Ehen to drop chase.

Recently had a game as clown on haddenfield. Im not tye best killer by any stretch of the imagination. Every chase i got in the ran to the same house with a window on 2nd floor and no other way down on that side. Couldnt follow. Couldnt cut them off. Dropped every chase that went that way ended up sitting in a corner after i opened a gate for them and went to get a drink.

Having reached Rank 7 as Killer, I have to say that this is sound advice for green ranks but still very much map dependent. Larger maps tend to have strong tiles stacked together. As an example, autohaven typically has two L walls opposite each other with vaults. Then you have your long wall with pallet loop. Then you have your other 'safe' pallet loops where the killer will not be able to reach you no matter which way they go so long as you can infinitely vault the pallet.

Biggest tip is to drop chase if the loop is too strong. If you can't get the hit before hitting bloodlust, it's probably not worth the effort.

And when all 4 survivors are good loopers, then you're screwed. That's the problem with the mindset of "how often do you face THOSE teams?"
Sooner or later, everyone can reach that level, so the potential for being untouchable shouldn't be in the game to start with.
You also cant win with survivors mindsets, they will always try to justify the game being broken. If you commit and lose, you should have pressured gens. If you drop chase and lose, "I would have made a mistake eventually, you should have committed."

Every team has a weak link SWF or otherwise. I ran a Huntress around for 3 gens because I sabo'd and saved a teammate. She was so pissed she wouldn't even go for hatchets and just stubbornly chased for most of the game.
