Counter-playing Spirit?

I know the best way to counter her is playing as stealthy as you can but can you actually counter her in chase? Some people told me Iron Will and Quick and Quiet are very useful but a skilled Spirit knows how to find survivors efficiently even with those perks. Any ideas?

Never underestimate how effective those perks are vs her..even the best spirits need to make educated guesses..the number 1 tip to mess with spirit is be unpredictable..do not treat her like a wraith, her chase is vastly different than that , for instance..if shes phasing at you and you go past a fire barrel..spin around it and go the other way..it will confuse the heck out of her lol

Here's one of the best tips you can get:

Don't wait and react to what she does, force her to react to what you do.

You have to force her to guess and that's when you play unpredictably. Don't try and get feedback from her, give her wrong feedback from yourself that makes her misread your play. You have to play against her completely different from most of the other killer roster. You can't just run to a loop and then try to play her at it like every other killer.

Ex. You hold M1 and force her to power to catch up because she's slow. You fast vault the window to give her false information. We're going to assume worse case scenario that you're injured and she has Stridor. Now she's phasing around the wall and you slow vault back over. Now, don't slow vault immediately after the fast vault, otherwise she will here your breathing that you went back over. If you get the muscle memory for her phasing move speed you'll about know where she's at in her phase. You want her to have to commit to going around before you slow vault back over. Give it at least 2-3 seconds typically minimum.

Most players in that scenario misplay by slow vaulting back over too quickly, she hears their breathing and knows they faked it back over and then say she can't be counter played.

You have to get in her head and understand what she's hearing, seeing and thinking, as well as muscle memory for her phasing. It can also be difficult to hear, but her footsteps are audible and is something you can take advantage of.

Virtually no counter. Accept defeat and move on.

Houdini build works well against her. Quick and Quiet, Iron Will, and Dance With Me.

Other than that, one tip I can give is that she will look in the direction she's going to phase in after she stops moving. If she's trying to mindgame at loops, just leave and go to the next loop. Never take the chance for her to phase and hit you at a loop if you can help it.

There is no counter to her, she'll rek all groups. A good spirit can beat excellent survivors and an excellent spirit is a goddess.

completely 0 counterplay is a bullshit, that's not true. We can argue that maybe she shouldn't hear your grunts of pain while injured because even with stridor she always know where you are, and that maybe she shouldn't be able to hear that little sound when you vault a pallet also, because that breaks every pallet mindgame literally. But that there is literally no mindgame that's not true.

if she comes from distance and you're healthy just walk, how the ######### does she know where you are? she can't .

abuse of those seconds where she doesn't have her ability to loop her for a bit.

never let her stay on a pallet but always drop it early.

abuse of the fact that now she doesn't have collision

dead hard if you have it, lithe, balanced, or even 99% sprint burst to make her waste a lot of time

There is counterplay, but it's pretty much inconsistent, so that's why I think that she must receive some tweaks, because there is no way for a spirit to lose a mindgame if she has stridor, which counters completely iron will, and still doing a mindgame when injured without dead hard is still really difficult.

Midwich offering. Use Object of Obsession. Hold W.

good spirits use their power in short bursts so even if you manage to make them screw up a phase they get their power back in 3s

Stand still and fake phase, there's a slight chance it'll confuse the spirit to believe she's the survivor and run away.

Otherwise accept you're dead and the game is gonna be a boring match.

If you know she's trying to speed towards you purely to catch up, run at her. Nobody expects that, and you have to be listening very intently to catch a survivor doing it.

Iron Will is very helpful by forcing her to fully predict what you're doing during her phasing, but it's not a magic bullet by itself.
