My change to noed.
Noed is no longer a hex perk.
When noed would usually activate, (hatch close and all gens done) noed activates. The survivors are not notified of noed until a survivor is downed with it like it does right now.
Noed activates for 180 seconds (at level 3).
So here's why I think this would be a benefit for both sides.
Survivors could wait out noed. On certain maps, noed is very difficult to counter. On maps like lerys and midwich, totems are very hard to find.
For killers, on most maps noed can be easily countered but with the new noed, you'd be able to use it no matter what if all of the gens are done. So often when I use noed it either doesn't even activate at all or it gets cleansed instantly.
What do y'all think about this change?

I wouldn't mind it. It's not too heavy of a nerf but not too heavy of a buff either. I would say decrease the time though. Maybe 40/60/80

Hey, use SMALL GAME and not DS / BT / DH / UB how is it? That is the counter for it. No nerf needed.

Or bring Detective's Hunch if you want to complete Generators.
Or bring a Rainbow Map.
Or bring a Map with Red Twine. (Entity knows I probably have a stockpile of them from never using one)
Or learn the typical spawns for totems.
Or take the gamble the Killer didn't actually bring NOED and you don't have to cleanse Totems.
Oh wait I guess those aren't counters to NOED. (well, besides the last one)

This might work, but I think that it should have an extra activation condition.
The big problems people have with NOED is the fact that it can give a killer an easy kill or 2 regardless of whether they did good the rest of the game.
I don’t know what this condition would be but maybe you have to have so many hooks over the course of the game to build up stacks, or you have to get a hook after the last generator is completed or something along those lines.

The reason the perk is unhealthy is because it rewards free downs for doing nothing, not because it forces survivors to do totems.
Having it be an anti-gen rush perk is a good idea. It just needs the insta downs replaced with something else that isn't free downs for nothing.
Imo make it instead restart 3 random gens. This essentially makes the survivors do 1 extra gen if they tried to gen rush and ignore totems. This gives the killer more time to make skilled plays.

It's not supposed to be a complete nerf. It's supposed to be more fair and balanced for both sides...not just survivors.

You could just stop doing gens (that are too fast anyway) and go for the totems ... There are only a couple of maps where the spawns are difficult.

NOED is fine as is. Do bones. If you know NOED is active and someone's been hooked, either take the exit or look for the totem.

I have a change for that exact situation. Noed would still activate when all gens done but the noed timer would only start after endgame starts. So the survivors wouldn't simply be able to just hide the whole entire time.

The point is that survivors wouldn't have to look for totems anymore and the killer wouldn't have to worry about noed being instantly cleansed or not activated at all. I think it would help both sides out and help balance the perk. Current noed isn't bad or broken but I think my idea would be better, but what do I know?

Its a sleeper perk. Just like camping is considered a valid strategy (easily countered by doing gens fast), NOED is strategic in that if you're facing a rush squad or toxic SWF it allows you to bide your time, not get repeatedly humiliated by DS, BT, adrenaline... It's like unbreakable for killers... They can rush, bully and pack all second chance perks but they better not forget you may pop up just like Bill if they get careless.

There could be 2 different possibilities. 1- noed activates and survivors are exposed when all gens are done. 2- noed only activates when endgame begins.

Usually endgame starts when the gates are open, by which point the game is mostly over anyway. I doubt anyone would bring noed then.
Also, if people have a problem with noed as a backup because the killer did badly...the same is true for ds, unbreakable and dead hard. A survivor can hide all game, dont do anything usefull, and still escape due to this perks he brought.
Can someone explain to me why onle the killer has to work for his perks to have an impact?
I mean, if thats the real reason, ds, unbreakable and dead hard should have a trigger for the survivor too, like unbreakable only works if you healed someone from dying state, ds only if you unhooked someone safely, stuff like that. But why this seems to be important for a lot of people, it seems its just on the killer side.
