Steam Launch Option "skip_intro" or "novid"

900 hours in-game. (Pretty good so far.)

In Steam, the "novid" or "skip_intro" launch options used to allow me to skip the intro video, but now they don't. Here's why you should make a launch option in Steam that allows players to skip the intro again:

Due to the fact that my PC doesn't have a great graphics card, whenever the intro video is playing my PC is rendered unusable for 1-3 minutes. The video is very laggy (the audio skips and is disjointed from the visual). Imagine a video repeatedly pausing and unpausing itself every second for 3 minutes without the ability to skip the video.

Again: clicking my mouse and hitting my keyboard does not enable me to skip the intro video because my machine does not respond while the video plays. That's why I need a launch option in Steam.
