Thoughts: Buffing hex perks by giving an (extremely) weakened effect when cleansed

Basically the general idea of hex perks is High risk - High reward

But imo most hex perks aren't even that rewarding, with devour probably being the most rewarding if it stays up, and typically killers prefer using something like Pop over ruin which may not even do anything, considering totem spots such as Asylum, or just survivors spawning on them

Others such as Third seal barely ever sees usage, or ruin which was considered by some as, too weak for a hex, too strong for a normal perk

An idea I considered is if hex perks got a small effect when cleansed, not enough to make them suddenly a lot more powerful, but maybe an encouragement for people to consider using hex perks that can be risky.

Some small effect ideas for when they are cleansed

Third seal - Every X down survivors vision is slightly blurred (Similar to knock out)

Ruin - Gens automatically regress at 10/15/20%, killer can still kick the gen to make it normal regression

Devour - 10 seconds after a hook, killer gets a movement speed boost of 1/2/3% for 5 seconds

Thoughts about this? My idea isn't to make them suddenly meta perks that'll be used every game, but to make people a bit more willing to take the risk of bringing a hex perk, while also not giving them really strong effects after survivors may have struggled to finally find the lit totem

I'm not adamant thinking this must happen, it was kinda just a random thought I had, and I wanted to know what other people thought

I mean, it'd be sick if we could've just gotten Undying as a base effect ngl.

I’d wait to see how undying plays out. I think it’ll make a lot of hex perks viable again (maybe even meta). Ruin is a pretty good perk but it isn’t that great due to crap totem spots, but with undying now they have to cleanse a minimum of two totems to remove it and a maximum of 6 if they are incredibly unlucky.

All the while you’re getting great aura reading on people doing bones, plus random bonus aura reading whenever someone stumbles by a totem.
