Suggestions To Improve the Last Two Survivor Scenarios

We've all seen it. It gets down to the last 2 Survivors and 2 things are highly likely to happen:

1) One or both survivors no longer even attempt to work on generators. It becomes a game of hide and seek because working on the a generator makes you the target and you won't get a chance to find the hatch and escape

2) The killer is gonna slug the first person he finds and use them as bait to lure the other survivor. That means the last standing survivor has to choose between running to what is an almost certain death or leaving the slugged survivor to bleed out.

I'm not condemning either thing. I don't like either of them, but I at least can understand why people do them. My thing with it is it gets extremely boring. As a survivor main I can't speak for the killer side of things, but I would think it has to be boring for the killer as well.

While I hold out no hope that anything will be done to change it I'm curious what suggestions any of you may have that could change this dynamic. I've thought of implementing 2 things in this situation. Not saying they are great ideas. Just spitballing for some way to speed the end game up: 1) In a 3 minute time frame a survivor has to do a cumulative 60 seconds of a combination of gens, totems, healing. If not they will not be able to see or hear the hatch when it opens even if they are the last survivor. 2) At least once every minute a killer has to get a certain distance from a slugged survivor. If not the hatch opens.

Again, not saying those are great ideas just trying to think of something that will force survivors to not play hide and seek, and force killers to do something other than use a slugged survivor as bait to get the last survivor.
