Running into lockers Barbecue & Chili
I was in a match and i was playing against a killer who was using the perk Barbecue and Chili. I got into the locker before he hooked a survivor and still he came directly at me and open the locker i was in! This happened also to my teammate.
Has this perk been updated or anything that that shows our auras to the killer even if we are inside a locker?
It would be lovely If someone can update me on this perk and the easiest way to counter it!

you ran into the locker. it leaves a banging sound and visual effect im pretty sure if i remember correctly if you do that. you didnt walk into it? slowly. if so then theirs your answer for the most part

Perk is the same, hasn't changed. Was there another reason for him to check that locker if you're confident that you were in it before he hooked and stayed in for at least 4 seconds? Was there a worked-on gen nearby, a hex totem, another survivor, scratch marks, etc.

I was using the park quick and quiet, he wouldn’t be able to hear me if i ran into a locker.
There might be a chance where there was a generator on the second floor that hasn’t been worked on so he came towards it and might of seen my scratch marks on the way since i ran towards the locker that was pretty close to the generator above me in the house.

It does, but not in lockers, because they shield auras.

What was the killer? Because certain killers like Ghostface has addons that aura reveal in place of perks - such as his Ultra Rare "Outdoor Surveillance Camera" which allows him to see all survivors outside of his terror radius upon downing someone. Combined with Infectious Fright - he has 100% information as soon as he downs someone - including if you run into a locker to try and place around Barbeque and Chili he can see that animation from across the map and beeline straight for your locker.

No, Im All Ears is countered by Quick And Quiet, if you jump a window it won't show your aura unless Q&Q is on cooldown.

you gotta stay in the locker for at least 4 seconds and enter the locker before the guy gets hooked. Probably you entered the locker late and he was able to see where you hid

Hide in a locker.
Don't hide in a locker right next to a gen that'd just been worked on if he's coming your way.

I’m pretty certain that is incorrect. Q&Q just mutes the sound, and prevents the loud noise indicator from showing. It doesn’t block auras, and Q&Q only activates on rushed actions, exactly what procs I’m All Ears.

This is what I’m suspecting. It’s always wise to get into a locker immediately when a down occurs (if BBQ is suspected).

It does counter, just look at the wiki.
Quick & Quiet trumps I'm All Ears as it suppresses the creation of Loud Noise Events on rushed actions.

Yeah it does, read the Wiki, It supresses unless it's on cooldown and you can test it simply by putting the perk on for some matches and hope to get Q&Q that is a relative commum perk.

How much earlier? If it was only a second or so, then latency might have been a factor.

I often have a pretty good idea where people are even without Barbecue & Chili going off. And I can tell if someone likely ran into a locker by the scratch marks.

Were you completely inside?
I can see Auras of Survivors moving in/out of them, only those who have finished the animation of going in have become invisible.

I'm all ears only works when survivor is within 32m range. BBQ works when you are more than 40m away. I don't think it has anything to do with I'm all ears. Either you didn't run into the locker fast enough or he got lucky. Remember that when you are in animation of entering locker, your aura will be visible.

No it doesn't, because Q&Q also blocks aura reading from vaulting. I guess you weren't fast enough or legt the locker too early. Or the killer was just dann lucky.

The killer can see your Aura go into a locker if you don't get in before he gets BBQ off. Likewise he can also see your aura when you leave the locker if you didn't wait long enough.
Also sometimes as killer you just know someone is in a locker even if you didn't see their aura or didn't see any blood or scratch marks. I've gotten a few locker grabs by guessing someone was in a locker.

I use I'm All Ears religiously on PH and Nurse. Trust me, it's countered by Q&Q

-Scratch Marks or blood trails
-Whispers

Then the wiki is clearly wrong. In chase you still see the auras. I know this for a fact.

If qnq is on cooldown yeah, you can see them with I'm all ears, if it's not then it won't show you auras.
I was an addict to I'm all ears, unless it got changed since last patch, it still works the same.

Maybe it was a bug, but when I last used it it showed auras from qaq vaults.

Possible few cases:
- Your aura will not be hidden while you're in the animation, so if the BBQ activates and you're in mid-animation to enter the locker, your aura will show until the animations finishes.
- You took too long to hide after the BBQ proc.
- You leaved tracks that made it obivous you were hiding in the locker

quick and quiet blocks I'm All Ears, I had a match yesterday vs a Nancy with Q&Q + Dance With Me and I would never see her aura even if I was 5m away. Q&Q isn't a "rushed" action
