Scp licenses?
Recently I've had many different ideas for licenses that dbd could aquire like Tirsiak and specimen #5 from spooky's jumpscare mansion. But recently I found an interest in another character, scp 049, it would probably a great license and could change the game up a bit, what do you think?

I fully support this! There are several SCPs that could make great killers and have good lore to back them up!

Not sure if DBD will ever go that route as they’ll unfortunately probs jus stay with what’s more popular that ppl are more familiar with.

As far as I know, SCPs are basically a common license and can be used by anyone. I don't think there would be a big need to secure licensing agreements on them. That said, the original authors could, IN THEORY, claim ownership of their writing, but the whole SCP archive is predicated on people releasing those kinds of rights when they submit new entries.

Thats one of the nicest thing anyones ever said to me here lmao, thanks mate. I think I might have conjured this post, I thought outloud "I wish more people would talk about SCP more than just me" and this showed up like a minute later. Its like my reward for using insidious for anything other than camping lol.

Once they become part of SCP, they leave the OG authors hands entirely, nothing they can do now but edit it. The difference between a SCP style chapter is that a deal would have to be struck with site admins so that the game could not be legally pirated, which is actually something CC makes happen for some reason. Hopefully that shouldn't be too big a problem though. I believe SCP blackout made a deal for it to be sold without enabling piracy.

Well. I honestly often thought to ask you to explain what SCP exactly is. For I am not one that knows much about it. And my ignorance leads me to feel it's much like Cabin in the Woods. But also Google fails to explain it well enough. 🤷♂️

SCP-106 would be super cool. Its power could be moving through a thin wall (which basically means every wall and building loop in the game) and reaching the other side in the same speed it takes a killer to vault a window. That would be super fun

Its nothing like cabin in the woods (Though that movie was very good). SCP is a website were people write and share horror stories about a fictional "Foundation" that has to secure,contain, and protect the world from anomalous entities. This can be something small and stupid like a toaster that makes you think your a toaster (SCP-426), A serial killer threat like a statue that can snap your neck when not looking at it (SCP-173), or a world ending monster (SCP-682). Think of it like creepypasta but all unionized under one theme with actual quality control and a series of successful video games.
