A Question for Console Survivors

So crossplay has been such an amazing experience so far, lots of good console survivors (many of them are altruistic but are lowkey toxic lol) and queues have been kind of godly. I'm really happy that BHVR launched crossplay on all platforms!

But here is the question: When you guys were playing on console, did console killers tend to tunnel? Because it's often where if I do get tunneled or another survivor gets tunneled, in the post game I see that it's a console killer. Is that just the way they play to get kills? Hoping to get some insight!

PS4 player here, in my experience there's a lot of camping/tunneling in brown and yellow ranks, less camping in green (though tunneling is still prevalent,) but I don't experience that much playing in purple and red ranks.

It still happened occasionally, but was certainly much less prevalent (again, that's in my experience.)

Since crossplay has happened I am experiencing it more, though, but I'm not sure which platform it's coming from.

I only experience this if there is a Mori, an Adept, or the killer has 3 gens pop by the time the first hook takes place.

Conversely, In my experience, PC killers are the most sweaty. They will camp even when there is only 1 gen completed. They aren’t afraid to use Eboni’s after 1 hook or pair it with NOED and a Pinky Finger, Infinite Tier 3, etc.

I will say this, even though it deviates a bit from the topic, PC survivors make higher IQ decisions than console survivors do, by a long shot.

Camping happens often between ranks 20-13 ish. Newer players are often trying to get confirmed kills. When I first started playing as killer I too would camp. Especially, if I was getting destroyed by the survivors. That person on the hook might be the only person I hooked.

Tunneling happens with every rank I've played against. It does happen less frequently in purple and red ranks. But it still happens. Red rank killers often assume you're running Decisive Strike and will either slug you or not tunnel.

Having played both sides there are varying degrees of tunneling. There is going after the easy down, but still attacking someone else. Then there is ignoring everyone to tunnel the one person. I've tried to body block a killer from tunneling and gotten ignored completely.

Proxy camping and face camping I understand less at higher ranks. In theory you should know better or know how to play better. As much as it sucks for the person on the hook, I just rush gens and win that way.

Lower ranks tend to have HEAPS of campers and tunnellers, especially those who play Wraith.

PS4 red, I don't run into campers that much especially face campers. However tunnelers, especially tenacious tunnelers are more of a recurrence. The one thing I have noticed with other platform Killers is the habit of always going back to the hook even without MYC. Ime if the Killer is dumb enough to waste time chasing you for an extended period and when they finally get you, then they do seem to get campy and extremely tunnely.

I'm on PS4 and I can tell you that console killers tend to camp, tunnel, slug, and use NOED more than PC players. Even the prestiged and red rank killers do.

There is also always one person who has something ######### to say after a match.

People complain about d strike but on console it's almost a necessity because the killers almost always tunnel immediately off hook or they're camping you with a Mori waiting for the unhook , every now and then I see some good ones that play normal like a PC killer and don't need that style to win games

I get tunneled in about 1 in 20 matches, but then again I don't play like an ######### dedicating my whole existence to ruin the killer's match. Usually when a survivor gets tunneled it's completely their own fault. Don't get cocky and try to rub your invincibility perks to the killer's face and maybe you might experience a nice normal match with good bp for all.

I have tried crossplay every day about 2 matches and it is nearly not as fun as playing only with ps4 players. It's just genrush and slugging with crossplay on and just as much NOED as in ps4. I'd rather be sacrificed with 25k bp and 2-4 WGLF stacks than be in a genrush match and survive with 15k and 0-1 WGLF stacks.

Lastly, if there's only 2 gens left and no one is dead, it is completely reasonable for the killer to try to tunnel/proxy camp a survivor out of the game. Otherwise you can't win in that situation unless you use NOED and the survivors are altruistic/potatoes.

Xbox player here, when I opted out of cross-play, I was often put with Red rank tunneling/camping killers. It was mostly when they brought an ebony Mori. But some did it without the Mori.

As a red rank PS4 survivor, before crossplay I hardly ever got tunneled or camped. Didn't even need to use DS in my build as it felt like a wasted perk slot.

    That's obvious.

I mean, camping is a strategy, but a bad one.

The higher you get in ranks, the more you realize how bad it is.

But, sometimes I use it, a little bit, to make people angry. If they are angry they tend to act without thinking, and group up sometimes, which is useful for me.

Ok so what's your point? I have a ps4 pc and switch with this on there with friends on each platform occasionally I do play the others but I main pc I've also stated that before if you want to dig that up too lol pathetic

So let me get this straight. You hate console survivors because you run the killer for 5 minutes and they do nothing. You don't like console killers because they tunnel and camp and don't know how to play like pc killers, and you keep crossplay turned off so you can have a good game. yet you still play on console instead of just enabling crossplay when you want to play with friends? All just sounds like someone trying to swing their PC E-peen instead of speaking from real experience.

Because I can party chat and see how people are doing that's why, I've made quite a few friends on console and aside from them I don't play it at all, you're seriously grasping at straws to pick a fight lol this is actually pretty sad you go to these lengths to argue something you know nothing about because you don't have me added on any of the platforms, this is a sad pathetic attempt to stir shirt and I'm too old to care it just makes you look like a child, anyone who has seen my past posts knows I supported cross play at first but not now, I'd rather play with mobile bots than some of you console guys
