Listen, you want to know the superior players of this game:

the people that are willing to accept this as a game and play for fun at all times.

Im not one of these people, but these guys deserve mad respect for keeping calm, or at least not get pissed after not having a 4k escape/kill.

The main word here is game. Not a way of right like 90% of the player base on this forum like to think they are. They think if they stop playing everyone will

The problem is that my patience is extremely stretched when the other side uses crutches and goes on to bully the survivor/killer that also did so. I don't really care about winning or losing, but instadropping pallets? Second-chance meta? Ultra-coordinated SWF? Forever Freddy? Stridor Spirit? Bamboozleface? Map offerings?

When the other side "wins" with zero skill, that really hurts.

Yeah, I'd love to just have my build of Self-Care, Resilience, Spine Chill and Lithe to just play the game, but then some genius will tunnel everyone into oblivion, so back on goes Decisive Strike. I'll have a game or two then we'll get the 4-man slug and I remember why I was working up Bill, so I'd have Unbreakable available, and the GAME becomes less about me trying to help everyone else and be a proverbial thorn in the killer's side and becomes just "Oh, great. I have tk run this in order to NOT get completely screwed because they don't want a game, just 4 meaningless skulls at the end screen."

To be fair this is a fresh MP game compared to COD. They are the most stres inducing games ever. From a guy who grew up with them.... Play Tony hawks1and2. This is how I spent my pre teen years absolutly smashing the game on my own in my room having a better time than I ever have playing games against games against random people from each end of the globe. Stop competing and start enjoying games agains

ruin surveil pop thana double slowdown addon freddy wants to know your location. Spoiler alert, it's still pretty decent but beyond that it's very very boring to play against.

Eh. My matches blend together. Sometimes it's hard to remember who I've even hooked this round or not. Eventually "I 4k'd" will become "I killed 30 survivors tonight."

Survivor side if I'm bored of that match I'll go run the killer. If he kills me great. If not and I end up escaping, great. The only time there's pressure to survive is if I have an event medkit or flashlight.

Pop, Surveillance, Thana, Sloppy, and double slowdown addons. It still exists, it's just now slightly less impactful.

And Bamboozleface - bamboozle Leatherface. The only counterplay is feeding him pallets, which he instantly breaks, because you cannot play windows and you've just got to hope your teammates are a crack squad of repairers because in two minutes the entire map will be a deadzone.

Truth. Very stress inducing, unless you just KYF an have fun being all on the same-page healthy atmosphere mentality.

What I find telling is the number of players who admit they are totally addicted to DBD... also, truly amazing is the number of people who really are addicted to DBD and are too immersed in denial to admit it.

TH ProSkater2 is fantastic! Such an awesome, super fun chillfest! Great way to find solace from everyday DBD angst.

Always good to break up the monotony w some non multiplayer solo gaming.

You've never played against a ruin surveil freddy then, at least not a good one. Because once you let go of a gen he ALWAYS knows if that gen is being worked on so he can just spam teleportation on the gen being worked without ever actually teleporting. If the survivor stops repairing, he cancels the teleport if they start repairing again he just starts teleporting again. If they stick he knows they stick because surveil never triggers and he finishes the teleport and claims a free hit. You basically gain the ability to pressure two survivors at once as long as the ruin is still up and even once the ruin is gone you still have pop and surveillance giving you some of the best gen control on one of the most mobile killers in the game.

It is the most effective slowdown build in the whole game. You got two addons and a perk that directly slow repair. You got surveillance to give you some of the best gen information you can get AND you have ruin to activate it constantly/buy time. Even once it's gone pop/surveil leaves you with excellent map pressure. Survivors practically have no choice but to find and cleanse the totem early and even then the pressure you get from forcing them to do that is often enough to get the w.

I don't care about ranks, nor kills, usually. Just performance.

But It's true, that I'm slowly switching to strong killers and meta perks, because survivors won't let me have any fun with 5 minutes long games.

I just randomize every perk using DBD Randomizer and play like that. If I just used the same few perks it would get boring, and miss out on the potential benefits of lesser-used perks, especially knowing the vast majority will not have a setup to counter it.

It's far more enjoyable and whilst during the round it can be competitive, it's just a game and some rounds I'll trash the other side and sometimes they'll trash me. I just play as well as I can, and at the end of the day I am frustrated it always comes down to something I identified in my own playstyle that needs improving, and not on the other side.

I'm fine with how these people play the game. I'm not fine how they give feedback though.

Playing purely for fun warps your view on what is balanced and not in many situations. They tent to side towards what is more "fun" than what is truly balanced despite the balanced version having little to no negative impact. Ever wonder where the phrase "Pop goes the braincell" comes from?

The people who I do truly appreciate are people who play for fun and can speak from an unbiased standpoint. A good example of this is Bronx.
