The Observer's Dark Counterpart?

The Curator.

He debuted in the game, 'Until Dawn', and continues to be a narrator of sorts for The Dark Pictures Anthology series of horror games by Supermassive Games.

Not to have him as a licensed Killer, but as another perspective into the Lore of The Fog? Maybe it'd be a way to expand on the role of the Observer and add another dimension to the Rift. The Observer can oversee Survivor tome challenges, while the Curator collects the ones for Killer.

Just some thoughts, but I love the idea of changing the Lore and atmosphere of the game, rather than adding new perks/nerfs/buffs.

The Observer already oversees killers tomes to my knowledge. And the Curator is licensed, its highly unlikely we'll see them get major lore relevance. Perhaps the devs could do something small with him, maybe about the Curator giving the human killers some therapy but any prolonged lore importance is almost definitely out of the question.

Speaking of UD, I’d Love to have a extended DBD series in the vein of Until Dawn where we play thru all what transpired for the different survivors on their final day before being drawn into the entity’s realm, that actual occurrence of being taken, and then meeting up with other survivors in the trial and facing off against the killer.

Could do 4 individual stories each game/episode of 4 different survivors and a story of the killer (b&a the killer enters entity’s realm) they’ll face.

Sth like that. I think ppl who love the lore an such would really enjoy getting to have that form of a storymode as a playable feature.

Hopefully have similar animation to or better than this 2017 promo:

I mean, he didn't actually debut in Until Dawn. The Curator is a character who appears only the games labelled "The Dark Pictures Anthology", in Until Dawn we had The Analyst, also known as Dr Alan Hill, Josh's therapist and personal advisor (as we discover through texts).

@GoodBoyKaru You're absolutely right. I just can't think of him as anything else other than the Curator. But he wasn't exactly what he was presented to be in that game, either (trying not to be spoilery). So in that vein, do we all each have a personal Curator/Analyst?

In that game, he was presented as Josh's therapist, judging him through the choices we made in-game and also changing the gameplay based on what we fear.

Though later on, it's revealed that the Dr Hill and his office we've been seeing all game have been hallucinations from Josh, although we know the actual Dr Hill is real. He's also shown to be kind, caring, and patient, urging Josh to talk to him about his revenge prank instead of acting it out, and calling him several times.

The Curator, meanwhile, exists as an over-arching, omniscient character in The Dark Pictures universe. He's a reoccuring character, as shown through the small appearance of him in the opening of the Little Hope demo. He exists to guide the player into making the "correct" choices in the story they're telling. So we know he remains consistent throughout all of those games, and yet Dr Hill is different?

    They're different people, rather unfortunately.
