Something needs to be done about hook hostage tech

I'm seeing this game after game after game where I hook someone and they suddenly are in a weird limbo where they're hooked on the bottom left but their model is just stuck in the animation, not counting as hooked anywhere else, I am unable to use my power and am pulled backwards continuously by what I guess is the game trying to handle whatever it is they're going. It only gets fixed (where you can at least m2 again) if you can manage to hook someone else as a killer that's slower than Nurse and can't break anything or go through windows.

I don't know how they're doing it but once they're hooked they never leave until you DC. A few times is coincidence but I'm getting barraged by this and it's groups that are doing it consistently.

    I don't really have any software for recording games but I'll try and use Nvidas built in one next time it happens. But basically The EGC can completely finish and you'll just be stuck in the game with the hooked person until one of you Dcs.

    Ive had this happen to me as well its an issue that happens whiles hooking and using your power whiles also lagging....i think thats when its happend to me

    Its a bug, because that person is still on your shoulder from their perspective. I've been on the other side of that bug one time, probably 6 or 7 months ago. I'm pretty sure the devs know about it and its pretty rare, but if it keeps happening you should report it in the Bug report part of the forum.

    I had a friend who had this happen to him a few months back. Funny thing was the survivor he tried to hook was running around and he couldn't hit her. He could hit everyone else but couldn't pick them up, go through windows, break pallets or kick generators. I can't remember if he was able to use his killer abilities.

    I think I know what you're talking about. After I hooked them I couldn't use my power (it just endlessly goes in a 0.1 second loop of start-up no matter who you're playing) and you are constantly being pulled backwards a little bit making you slower. As far as I know it will at least fix that part of the problem if you can manage to hook someone else.
